    Janssen, Gertrude M. "Gert" - Gertrude Janssen, 94, formerly of Little Chute, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton. She was born July 16, 1913, in Menasha, daughter of the late Frank E. and Mary (Florian) Hackstock Sr. Gert married Norbert P. "Fuzzy" Janssen April 14, 1937, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha and he preceded her in death March 12, 1975.
    Mrs. Janssen was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, along with the St. Elizabeth Society and St. John Mission Club. She also volunteered for the St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxillary. Gert attended St. Mary Catholic Grade School and High School, graduating in 1931. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at Marathon Corporation, Menasha. Gert enjoyed cooking, baking, collecting cookbooks, doing word search puzzles, making crafts and collecting angels.
    Gert is survived by two daughters: Sue Janssen and Lea Ann (Ken) Van Eperen, both of Little Chute; four grandchildren: Kevin (Kathy) Van Eperen, Shawano; Lori (Bill) Arts, Kaukauna; Michael (Tammy) Van Eperen, Kimberly; Brenda (Harvey) Wilber Jr., Suring; eight great-grandchildren: Karson and Morgan Van Eperen; Ryan and Kayla Arts; Brody and Trevor Van Eperen; Braden and Alicia Wilber; two sisters: Verna Muench, Rose Hackstock, both of Menasha; sister-in-law, Shirley Hackstock, Menasha; many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister and brother-in-law, Florence (Louie) Albers; brother, Frank A. "Bob" Hackstock; brother-in-law, Albert Muench; nephew, Terry Albers; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Minnie (Williamson) Janssen; and in-laws: Regina (Albert) Hietpas; Mildred Janssen; Elmer Janssen.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Fr. David Funk O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established.
    Gert's family wishes to thank all the staff at Franciscan Care Center, especially units 4 and 1, along with Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.

    Sue Janssen, 75, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Sue was born August 18, 1940 in Appleton, daughter of the late Norbert P. (Fuzzy) and Gertrude (Hackstock) Janssen. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, National Catholic Society of Foresters (Court #555) and St. John's Mission Club. Sue attended St. John's Catholic Grade School and St. John's High School, graduating in 1958. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Outagamie County Courthouse as Deputy County Treasure. Sue enjoyed playing cards, going to the Casino, sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking and cooking. Sue enjoyed her nieces and nephews very much, as well as her great nieces and nephews.
    Sue is survived by her brother-in-law, Ken Van Eperen, Little Chute; her nieces and nephews: Kevin (Kathy) Van Eperen, Shawano, Lori (Bill) Arts, Kaukauna, Michael (Tammy) Van Eperen, Kimberly, Brenda Wilber, Elcho. Sue is also survived by her great nieces and great nephews, Karson, Morgan and Gavin Van Eperen, Ryan and Kayla Arts, Brody, Trevor and Tori Van Eperen, Braden and Alicia Wilber, many cousins and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lea Ann Van Eperen, grandparents, Frank and Mary Hackstock, Sr. and Joseph and Minnie Janssen and many aunts, uncles and a cousin.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.     Lea Ann Van Eperen, 59, Little Chute, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 20, 2011, at her home. She was born October 13, 1951, in Appleton, daughter of Norbert P. "Fuzzy" and Gertrude (Hackstock) Janssen. Lea Ann married Kenneth J. Van Eperen on August 28, 1971, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Lea Ann was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Lea Ann attended St. John Catholic Grade School and High school, graduating in 1969. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at Appleton State Bank, now M&I Bank. Lea Ann's passion was her 10 grandchildren, which she loved dearly with all her heart (to infinity and beyond!). Lea enjoyed shopping, having rummage sales, and cooking and baking for her family.
    Lea is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Ken; her children, two sons and two daughters: Kevin (Kathy) Van Eperen, Shawano; Lori (Bill) Arts, Kaukauna; Michael (Tammy) Van Eperen, Kimberly; Brenda Wilber, Little Chute; 10 grandchildren: Karson, Morgan and Gavin Van Eperen, Shawano; Ryan and Mikayla Arts, Kaukauna; Brody, Trevor and Tori Van Eperen, Kimberly; Braden and Alicia Wilber, Little Chute; a sister, Suzanne "Sue" Janssen, Little Chute; father- and mother-in-law, Jerome and Pearl Van Eperen, Little Chute; sisters-in-law: Mary Jo (Bob) McMahon, Nancy (Dave) Lesselyoung, Janet (Greg) Lenz, Debbie (Bob) Pockl; an aunt, Rose Hackstock, Menasha; godchildren: Dana Baumgart and Dan McMahon; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
