    Sgt. Norbert M. Jansen, Little Chute, was honorably discharged after having served three years in the Army. He was stationed in the European theater of operations for the past 16 months. He was awarded the EOT with four battle stars, the good conduct medal, American theater ribbon and the victory medal.

    Our thoughtful and caring Dad was united with his Heavenly Father and h is favorite redhead, LaVerne, at the age of 86 on Friday, November 21, 200 3. He was born on December 23, 1916 in Little Chute, the son of Martin a nd Mary (Lamers) Jansen. Norbert married LaVerne King on July 4, 1941; s he preceded him in death on October 7, 1978. He was a WWII veteran, proud ly serving his country in the US Army from 1942 to 1945, stationed in Germ any for 18 months. Norbert was a retired mason and partner with Jansen Con struction Co., Little Chute. Besides being the company's bookkeeper, he to ok pride in constructing some of the most beautiful fireplaces in the Vall ey. After retirement, he enjoyed making crafts. His family and sever al of his friends will forever enjoy his handmade bird houses, dollhouse s, flower trellises, trivets, and plant stands. Norbert was a member of S t. Mary's Catholic Church, a former member of the choir, and a former lect or. He was a committee member for the Boy Scouts of America for 26 year s, a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258, and the Electr ic City VFW Post 3319. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and golfing. In lat er years, He enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers, and golf on TV.Survivors include three daughters, five sons & their spouses: Karen & B ob Biese of Combined Locks, Kathy & Bill Pennoyer of Wauwatosa, Marge & Le on Franzke of Omro; Tom & Linda of Brookfield, Bob & Judy of Kalamazoo, M I, Bill & Judy of Waukesha, Timm & Sue of Appleton, and Don & Kelly of App leton. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren: Jeff B iese (Josh, Ryan & Anna), Michelle (Dan) Dewick & children Kyla & Logan, M ike (Jenny) Biese, Kara & Maggie Pennoyer; Val, Pam, & Angie Franzke; Cha d, Kyle, Clark, Amanda, Lauren, Sarah, Maria, Alyssa, and John Janse n. He is further survived by his brothers Al (Carol), and Marty (Sue), sis ters; Agnes Moeri, and Delores (Vernon) Leisch; in-laws: Joe Dollevoet, Al vina & Grace Jansen, Gene (Elaine) King, Dorothy Spierings, Lenore Ball, A nn King, He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: John R (Lorrai ne), Tony (Lee), Vincent, Joe, & Gerald; sisters Adriana LeNoble, Sella Do llevoet, Gertie (Gordon) Marquardt; in-laws: Ed & Madge King, Wins & Pea rl Saiberlich, Charles Moeri, Leo King, Les Luedtke, Ed Spierings, Dean Ba ll, one granddaughter, and triplet great-grandsons.The Mass of Resurrection will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday November 25 at S t. Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna with Fr. Robert Udulutsch officiatin g. Full Burial Military rites will follow. Visitation will be at Boettch er Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr, Kaukauna from 4 p.m. until a p arish prayer service at 7 p.m. on MONDAY and again at CHURCH on TUESDAY fr om 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Ma ry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Americ an Diabetes Association.
