    Gary W. Vanevenhoven, 75 of Appleton passed away on July 13, 2015 with his family at his side. Gary was born on June 25, 1940 in Kaukauna to Wilfred and Louise (Marsh) Vanevenhoven. He was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, where he was enshrined in the football hall of fame. He lettered in three sports in Kaukauna. Football, basketball and baseball. After graduation, he attended the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse. On September 4, 1965 he married the former Mary Helser in Appleton and they enjoyed 50 years together. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was employed with Appleton Paper for 33 years. He was a proud and active member of the AFLCIO, 2-469. He held many positions within the union, including Union President, where he continuously fought for worker's rights. Gary was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf and talking politics. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Packers and Badgers. He enjoyed fishing and, after retirement, spending his winters in Florida. He was also a handyman and could fix anything in the home.
    He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, children: Dawn (Wayne) Neubert of Darboy, Scott (Susan) Vanevenhoven of Appleton and Jason Vanevenhoven of Appleton, grandchildren: Tyler, Brielle, Katlyn, Mariah, Bryce, Tadenn and Brittany, one great grandchild Kaylee, sisters Darlene (Tim) Vandehey, Sandy (Mike) Coffey and Mary (Rick) Babler, sister-in-law Nancy Vanevenhoven and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brian Vanevenhoven and brother Bruce Vanevenhoven.
    Visitation for Gary will be on Thursday July 16, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Superior Street location and Friday July 17, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald Street in Appleton. Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Friday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating.     Vanevenhoven, Bruce J. Combined LocksAge 60, died peacefully Friday, September 6, 2002 at home with his fami ly by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Dece mber 29, 1941 in Appleton, son of Wilfred and Louise (Marsch) Vanevenhove n. On June 23, 1962 he married the former Nancy Jansen at St. John Cathol ic Church, Little Chute. The couple celebrated 40 years of marriage togeth er and resided in Combined Locks for the past 31 years. Bruce was employ ed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper, recently retiring after almost 41 yea rs of service. Bruce raised five sons and put his children first, sendi ng them all through college. His pride and joy was his one and only grandc hild, Kailey, who was a blessing to the family. Bruce had a distinctive la ugh and could be easily recognized in a crowd. If you needed a shoulder, a dvice or something fixed...he was there. He was an avid Packer fan and enj oyed Country music and spending time with his family. Bruce was a memb er of St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, and the Thilmany Quarter C entury Club.     Darlene F. (Dar) Vande Hey, Wrightstown, Age 73, died Monday July 18, 2016 with her family by her side. Darlene was born March 6, 1943 in Appleton, daughter of Wilfred and Louise (Marsch) Vanevenhoven. On December 28, 1964 Dar married Tim Vande Hey at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. The couple celebrated 53 years of marriage together and made their home in Wrightstown.
    Dar graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1961. Dar worked at the Wrightstown Library, Guardian Insurance Company and later retired from American Medical Security Insurance Company.
    Dar had 3 children and 5 grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Her greatest joy was to be with her family for birthdays and holidays. Especially Christmas, which was her favorite. Dar worked tirelessly to ensure she found the perfect gift for everyone and decorated the tree and house to perfection. Dar also loved to shop "anywhere/anytime". She loved going to the mall with her grandchildren and having special one on one time with each of them.
    Dar endured a 40 year struggle with ankylosing spondylitis. She experienced ongoing pain and physical limitations. Dar did not complain. She always greeted everyone with a warm and gentle smile, never sharing her burden.
    Dar will be sadly missed by her husband Tim, children: Chris Ebben of Wrightstown, Jeff (Ann) Vande Hey of Brillion, Vicki (Mark) Coenen of Wrightstown; grandchildren: Bradi , Bryna (special friend Alex) and Danica (special friend Nate) Ebben, Chloe and Derek Vande Hey; Sisters: Sandy (Mike) Coffey of Kaukauna, Mary (Rick) Babler of Harrison; Brother-in-Law Ken (Kathy) Van De Hey of Greenleaf; Sister-in-Law Connie (Harlan) Fink of Kaukauna; special companion: Charlie and granddog Pickles. She will also be sadly missed by lifelong friend Mary (Dan) Verstegen of Little Chute.
    Dar was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law: Merlin and Dorothy Van De Hey; brothers; Gary and Bruce Vanevenhoven.
    Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, on Thursday, July 21, from 2:30pm until 5:15pm.     Brian A. Vanevenhoven, age 41, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009, surrounded by his family, at Theda Clark Hospital following an auto accident. He was born in Kansas, the son of Gary and Mary Helser Vanevenhoven. He graduated from Appleton West High School and received his Associate's Degree in occupational therapy from Fox Valley Technical College. Brian was united in marriage to Diane Hove on September 29, 1990 at Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton. Throughout his career in occupational therapy, Brian has worked in assisted living and sports medicine and has been dedicated to caring for the elderly and their needs. His great love was for his family, and he enjoyed family get aways, camping trips, the outdoors, and especially roller coaster rides with his girls. He was extremely proud of his two daughters and their accomplishments, and loved being present to watch their school and sports activities. He relished a good political debate, was a Green Bay Packer fan and loved his dogs.
    Brian leaves behind his wife: Diane, and their two teenage daughters: Brielle and Mariah at home; his parents: Mary and Gary Vanevenhoven; brothers: Scott Karen Vanevenhoven, Jason Vanevenhoven; sister: Dawn Wayne Neubert; grandmother: Louise Vanevenhoven; mother-in-law: Bonnie Hove; brother-in-law: Jim Mary Hove; sister-in-law: LuAnn Dale Thiel; and Diane's grandmother: Ruth Miller. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He filled his free time with his friends and family, often spending time outdoors camping or fishing. He was always the life of the party, making people laugh and making jokes. Jason also had a passion for music, particularly listening to and mixing electronic music.
    He will be greatly missed by his son, Tadenn Bleichner, his mother and step dad Sarah and Gary; his mother, Mary Vanevenhoven; his siblings: Dawn (Wayne) Neubert, and Scott (Susan) Vanevenhoven; sister-in-law, Diane; nieces and nephews: Tyler, Brielle, Mariah, Katlyn, Bryce, and Brittany; pets: Miley, Gordon, Emmitt, and Mittens; and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father: Gary Vanevenhoven; brother, Brian Vanevenhoven; and his grandparents.
    There will be a visitation on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Jason's name.
