    Obituary:
    Jim was the son of Anthony (Tony) and Evon Winters. Graduated from Neenah High School 1960 where he was a member of the undefeated football teams. Graduate from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, in 1964, with a Composite Major in Industrial Technology and Business Minor and a member of the conference championship football teams in the 1962-64 season.
    In 1967, Jim worked with Eggers Industries in Neenah, WI, and moved to Illinois in 1969. He started his own sales company, Winters Enterprises, where he continued to work with Eggers Industries as well as several other door manufacturers until his retirement in 2013. During that time, he was active in AWI and DHI, considered the leading associations in the wood door industry.
    Jim was President of the Exchange Club of Grayslake, IL, a national and community service organization, developing programs that supported the youth and elderly. He was dedicated to helping develop grade school and high school students by coaching basketball and football. In the 1980's, Jim was involved in local politics and was elected to the Grayslake, IL Village Board.
    Jim was active in many sports and for the last 20 years, he was an accomplished bracket drag racer; his red, white & blue '72 Plymouth Duster was well known in the six state area.
    Jim is survived by his wife, Marilyn Denning; four children, Dana, Kelly, Shane, and Wade; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl and Deacon Harold Pardew concelebrating. Interment will take place at St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations would be graciously accepted to the Tony Winters Music Award fund at St. Norbert College, in honor of James Winters, Tony's son. Donations may be made out to SNC - Tony Winters Award, and mailed to St. Norbert College, 100 Grant Street, De Pere, WI, 54115.
