Obituary:
CASPER - A Memorial Mass for Myrtle Francis (Campbell) Brophy, 82, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. There will be a reception after Mass and interment is at 2 p.m., at Highland Cemetery.
She died Dec. 10, 2007, at Life Care Center.
She was born Dec. 1, 1925, in Jamestown, N.D., to Hugh F. and Ruth J. (Westlake) Campbell. She moved to Casper with her family in 1927.
She attended grade school and graduated from NCHS in 1944. After graduation, she was employed by the telephone company and for many years at First Interstate Bank.
She married John J. Brophy in 1947 and they were later divorced.
She owned and operated the Rimrock Bar in Midwest until April 2004. She most graciously opened her facility many times to accommodate various special occasions.
She enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Due to her illness, she lived at Meadow Wind Assisted Living until needing further care.
She was truly devoted to her family and friends in Midwest and Casper. She will be missed so very, very much.
Survivors include two sisters, Marion Balben and Catherine Kercher, both of Casper, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Aniline and a brother, Hugh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice of Casper or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Bustard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
