    Obituary:
ELLINGTON COUPLE DIES WITHIN HOURS OF EACH OTHER
For over a half century, Ronald and Bernice Stadler had been married, working on their Town of Ellington farm and rearing four children. Wednesday, with their health slipping and both confined to a nursing home, they died within hours of each other. Ronald, 74 and his wife Bernice, 76, both died Wednesday at the Outagamie County Health Center. They had been married for 53 years.
Bonnie Stevenson, of Menasha, a daughter, said her father was moved into the health center Feb. 18 because of Alzheimer's disease. Her mother was moved there Aug. 7, about a week after suffering a seizure. She had been in Appleton Medical Center for a week, and was moved to the health center in a coma. Ronald died at 7:30 a.m., and Bernice died at 10:05 a.m. - in a coma, and unaware that her husband had died. "Mom always wanted to be with Dad," she said. "She was upset he had to be in the nursing home. "Now they are in heaven together."
The couple is survived by a son, three daughters, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ronald worked for 37 years at Consolidated Papers and drove school bus for several years, and the couple also farmed in the Town of Ellington.
Funeral services will be held at Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church, Mackville.
Stevenson said she and her brother and sisters will remember them "just for the kind of parents they were. They were always there when we needed them."

Ronald married Geenen, Bernice Ann 4 Jun 1946. Bernice (daughter of Geenen, John A. and McCabe, Ella C.) was born 23 Mar 1923, Freedom, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; died 11 Aug 1999, Black Creek, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; was buried Aft 11 Aug 1999, St. Edward Catholic Cemetery, Mackville, Wisconsin, USA.
