    RUTH MAURER "Teddy Bear" (nee Huhn) N407 Harrison St., SherwoodAge 71, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at her home. She was born May 12, 1929, in Appleton, daughter of the late Matt and Felicita (Kronschnable) Hu hn. On May 12 1929, Ruth married Gene Maurer in Sherwood. The couple mov ed to South Carolina until 1956 at which time they returned to Sherwood. R uth was employed at TDS Telephone Company for 27 years until her retiremen t. She enjoyed going to the family trailer at Silver Lake in Wild Rose, Wi sconsin, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ruth w as a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood, and the Thomas E. K ees Post 496 American Legion Auzillary.     Carole M. Diederich, nee Huhn, Sherwood, age 84, died on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born September 27, 1930 in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late Matthew and Felice (Kronschnabel) Huhn. On September 17, 1952 Carole married Joe Diederich at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. The couple lived in Sherwood their entire married lives. She operated Carole's Beauty Salon for over 40 years from her home. Carole enjoyed snowmobiling, sturgeon spearing, making cherry bounce, and also armchair coaching the Packers and Brewers. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Legion Auxiliary, and "The Red Hats".
    She is survived by her husband, Joe; her children: Pat ("Cork") Diederich, Kaukauna and Becky (Wayne) Schaefer, Sherwood; 3 grandchildren: Ross (Kate) Diederich, Darboy, and their son - her great-grandchild, Jacob, Candie (Ben) Ackerman, Austin, TX, and Shane (Emily) Schaefer, Stoughton; 3 sisters: Grace Bauer, Sherwood, Helen (Bob) Schifferling, Mosinee and Rita Schneider, Port Edwards; a sister-in-law, Shirley Huhn, Little Chute; a brother-in-law, Gene Mauer, Sherwood; numerous nieces and nephews.

    David L. Huhn, of Kimberly, age 69, died on Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on February 1, 1938, in Black Creek, son of the late Mathias and Felice (Kronschnabel) Huhn. On April 30, 1960, David married Shirley Towne at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. The couple lived in Sherwood for nine years, moving to Kimberly in 1970. David was a 1956 graduate of St. Mary High School, Menasha. He was employed for 37 years at Appleton Mills (now Voith) retiring in 1996. David was a Jr. Bowling Coach in Kimberly for 15 years. He was an avid reader, bowler, golfer and enjoyed a good game of gin. He loved music, baseball, spending time with his grandchildren, sharing a good joke, and being at the lake. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly.
    He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Towne) Huhn; his children: Christine Huhn, Huntington, WV; Melissa and Scott Schlack, Neenah; and Matthew and Shawn Huhn, Appleton; grandchildren: Ian and Emma Huhn, and Nina Schlack; sisters: Rita Schneider, Port Edwards; Carole (Joe) Diederich and Grace Bauer, all of Sherwood; and Helen (Robert) Schipferling, Mosinee; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Gene Maurer, Sherwood; Mary Huhn, Neenah; and Rose Huhn, Appleton. He is further survived by his wife's family: Nancy (Gary) Strebe, Appleton; Karen (Ken) Uhland, Pulaski; and Larry Getchel, Pickerel; and Howard Gaudette, Florida, many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his infant son, Lee David; a sister, Ruth Maurer; brothers, Tom and Dennis Huhn; brothers-in-law: Eugene Schneider and Orly Bauer. He was further preceded in death by Shirley's family: mother and father-in-law, Ben and Lenora (Barden) Towne; Bette (Tom) Roberts, Carol Gaudette, Nila Getchel and Robert Towne.

He was a member of St. Mary Cathol ic Church in Appleton, and was an avid Packer fan and also enjoyed bowlin g. His greatest joy in his life was his wife, children, and especially h is granchildren and great-granddaughter.His survivors include his wife Rosalie of Appleton, his children and grand children Karen (Chuck) Farah and their children Alex, Abby, and Jon Huhn a nd his daughter Michelle, all of Appleton. He was preceded in dea th by his parents, a brother Tom Huhn, a brother-in-law Orlando Bauer, a nd a great-grandson Caleb Weber.Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 12, 2000 at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 South State Street in Appleton wi th the Rev. Michael O'Rourke officiating. Internment will take place at S t. Mary Cemetery in Appleton. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Ho me on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. un til the time of mass. Parish prayer and scripture services will be conduct ed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being est ablished.Dennis will continue his life in others through organ donation.
