    Obituary:
    Evelyn Caroline Blackwood (Evelyn Engmann), of Appleton, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2012 after a twenty-two year battle with cancer. Evey was born on July 1, 1924, daughter of the late Edmund and Verona (Huven) Engmann.
    Evey attended Marshfield school until the eighth grade, at which time she began helping on the family farm. In her younger days, Evey traveled to Florida and worked as a nanny for a short period of time.
    She also worked as a switch board operator for several years before meeting the love of her life. In 1947 Evey married Floyd N. Blackwood and together they started Blackie's Heating Service, which they ran together for thirty-five dedicated years. Evey loved to spend time up at their cottage in Shawano, watching and feeding her animals and birds. She had many very close and dear friends in Shawano that will miss her dearly. Evey never had any children of her own but was like a Mom to many.
    She is survived by a brother: Bernard Engmann of Sparks, Nevada and a dear friend and sister-in-law: Grace Blackwood of Marshfield. There are also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd "Blackie" in 2000; two sisters: Mary Jane (Lloyd) Desten and Virginia (Lyle) Stammer; a sister-in-law: Donna Engmann; and a brother-in-law: Ken Blackwood.
    A memorial service for Evey will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Wichmann Funeral Home in Appleton, with Deacon Don Gigure of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at 4:00 PM.
    The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Dr. Guenther and his entire staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology for their twenty-two years of care and support, the volunteer staff at AMC for all their friendship and kindness over the years, ThedaCare At Home Hospice who helped make her final days at home more manageable, and her faithful neighbors Dick & Linda, for all the years of valued friendship! Evey will be missed by all who knew her.

    Stammer, Virginia Ro se (Engmann) "Ginny"Virginia R. Stammer, 80, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, Ju ly 17, 2006, surrounded by her family, after a long courageous battle wi th cancer. Ginny was born on February 1, 1926, in Appleton, to the late Ed mund and Verona (Huven) Engmann. She graduated from Appleton West High Sch ool in 1942. After graduation she began working for the telephone compa ny and continued there until the advent of dial service. Ginny was then em ployed at Peerless Drycleaners and worked there for some 30 dedicated year s, until she retired in July 1999.On February 20, 1952, Ginny married Lyle Stammer and gave the gift of li fe to five children. Mom had many fond stories of growing up on the farm w ith her parents and siblings. She loved to spend time with her children a nd grandchildren. Ginny was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister and mo ther. Mom taught us all how to be the best person possible and find love a nd guidance in God. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ap pleton.Ginny will sadly be missed by her siblings, Evey (Engmann) Blackwood, Appl eton, and Bud Engmann, Nevada; her children: Mike Stammer (special frien d, Lois Higgins), Appleton; Mark Stammer, Appleton; Bob (Sue) Stammer, App leton; Mary (Stammer) George, Appleton and Kathy (Stammer) Fink, Appleto n; her grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Choudior and Austin Stammer; Dan, Jes sy, Joseph and Michael Stammer; Emilee and Lane George; and Elizabeth a nd Tyler Fink.     Huven, James Of Waupaca, age 78, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Bethany Home with his family. He was born in Appleton on November 21, 1936 to the late Lawrence and Lois (Mueller) Huven. He graduated from Appleton West High School in 1955. On November 24, 1956 he married Donna Ellenbecker. Jim was a veteran of the Army, serving in Alaska. Jim drove ambulance for Larry's Ambulance Service in Appleton. He was a Toastmaster and Safety Director. He enjoyed model trains and was a member of a train club in Kaukauna. He also liked to golf and was a scratch bowler.
    He will be sadly missed by his wife: Donna of Waupaca; daughter: Laurel Lee (David) Huven Leder of Scandinavia; grandchildren: Jarrod (Laura) Leder of Whitebear Lake, MN; Abigail (special friend, Joe Krentz) of Portage; great grandchildren: Gretchen and Claudia Leder, sisters-in-law: Marlene Birkholtz of Appleton and Yvonne (Dennis) Schoen of Caroline; many relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy and Thomas and brothers-in-law, Raymond Ellenbecker Jr. and Gerald Birkholtz.
    The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. The visitation will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.

    Thomas M. Huven, age 64, of Apache Junction, Arizona; formerly of Oshkosh, WI, and Waupaca WI, passed away Monday, July 4, 2005, at Banner Home Care/Hospice. He was born July 22, 1940, in Appleton, the son of Lawrence and Lois (Mueller) Huven. Tom married Donna M. Greselin on July 17, 2004.
    He is survived by his wife, Donna Huven, two children: Brenda (Ross) Bosetti and Brad (Karen) Huven, three step-children: Vicki (Pat) Tracy, Mike (Dawn) Jenner, Jim (Lisa) Jenner, thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Timothy Huven and his special partner in life, Dolly (Jenner) Huven.
    A memorial service will be held in August at Radley Creek. Date and time will be announced prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Tom's name. Holly Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
