    Obituary:
    Mrs. Anna Herb. 68, 52 Sherman place, died this morning at a Green Bay hospital following a short ill ness. She was boRN Dec. 7, 1870, at Cooperstown, Wis.,-and lived in Ap pleton the last seven years. Surviving are two daughters, Sistter Helen, Washington, D.C. Mrs. E. D. MacDonald, Oshkosh; six sons Lawrence, Chicago; Brother Ewald, Alexian Brothers order, Elizabeth, N. J.: John, Paul, Navarino: Dr. Raymond Herb, Madison; Alfred, Manila, Philipine Islands; three brothers; John, Antone and Joseph Stadler, Appleton, and 10 grand children. Funeral services will be conduct ed at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Joseph church. The body will leave Schommer Funeral home at 8:30. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus cemetery, Hofa Park, Wis.

    Elizabeth Herb MacDonald, age 103, of Oshkosh, passed away Thursday morning, August 2, 2007, in Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center. On February 8, 1904, she was born in Navarino, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Stadler) Herb. For 28 years she was a secretary for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Being a devote Catholic, she was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and was a charter member of the Aquinas Club of St. Peter's and the Third Order of Franciscans. She also was a member of the Wisconsin Council of Catholic Women and was the first woman of the Green Bay Diocese to become a member of the Serra Club. She was also active in the Wisconsin Right For Life. On August 28, 1928, she married Elmer MacDonald in Navarino. He passed away on October 3, 1984. Crocheting, playing cards and being active with her grandchildren were her hobbies.
    Her memory will be cherished by her children: James (Charlotte) MacDonald of Woden, TX, Kevin (Melissa) MacDonald of Luguna Hills, CA, Angus MacDonald of Venice, CA, Hugh (Nanette) MacDonald of Oshkosh and Joan Campbell of Mosinee; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
    Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Joseph, Lawrence, Sr. Mary Helen, Sr. Mary Frances both members of the Order of the Medical Mission Society, Daniel (also known as Brother Eward of the Order of Alexian Brothers), John, Paul, Raymond, Alfred and Mary Ann.
    A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007, in Most Blessed Sacrament (formerly St. Peter's Catholic Church) with Rev. Fr. Jim Jugenheimer as celebrant. Friends may greet the family from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday in the church. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. (EDT) Saturday, August 11, 2007, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DeTour, MI, with Rev. Fr. George G. Vaniypurackal as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in DeTour.
    The family would like to thank the staff in Alterra Sterling House in Oshkosh and Neenah, the Evergreen Retirement Community, the Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center and the Heartland Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care they gave their Mother.
