    Farm Mishap Proves Fatal To Boy Aged 4
    BELGIUM - Burns suffered in a farm mishap last Friday proved fatal Tuesday night for a 4-year-old Ozaukee County boy. Paul Bares, who was burned about the legs when gasoline used for cleaning paint brushes ignited, then exploded a heater nearby, died at Milwaukee Children's Hospital where he had been taken after initial treatment at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington. The child is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bares of the Town of Belgium. The mishap occurred while the boy was at the farm of an uncle, Lester Bares, also of the Town of Belgium, and was watching members of the family clean paint brushes. Survivors are the parents three brothers. Larry. Steven and Charles, all at home; four sisters. Patricia. Hedwig. Ruth Ann. and Anna Marie, at home the paternal grandparents. Mr and Mrs. Engelbert Bares, Town of Belgium; and the maternal grandmother. Mrs. Elizabeth Ernley. Town of Belgium. Mass of the Angels will be held at 8 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Church, the Rev. John Koenig. pastor, officiating, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Junger Funeral Home in Dacada from 7 p.m. today until the time of services.
