    Obituary:
    Eulalia Ann Schwalbach, age 86, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Grand Horizons in Kimberly. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Hopfensperger) Steidl, born in Kaukauna on September 24, 1924. Lila graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1942. She married Joseph F. Schwalbach on November 5, 1942. Together they raised five children. They were married 65 years when Joseph died on July 29, 2008. Lila worked at Zwickers Knitting Mill for many years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Combined Locks. Lila also was a member Combined Locks Ladies Auxiliary Legion Post 10544 and the Darboy Auxiliary Legion Post 265. She was blessed with many talents, being an excellent seamstress and crocheter. Lila's penmanship was beautiful. She loved to travel, and always kept up with world events. She was a whiz at crossword puzzles. Her way with words always put a smile on your face. Lila also loved to bowl and play cards.
    She is survived by her children: Joseph (Mary Lou) Schwalbach, Marianne Heckner, Ellen (Len) Opsteen, Kimberly, Susan (Ray) Palm, and Frank (Peg) Schwalbach, 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; a brother, Edward (Margaret) Steidl; two sisters: Connie Geiger and Helen (Richard) Van Handel; sisters-in-law: Carol Steidl, Lorraine Schwalbach, and Vera Schwalbach.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; in-laws, George and Catherine Schwalbach, son-in-law, Thomas Heckner, a grandchild, Robert Heckner, her brother, Jack Steidl, brother-in-law, Kenneth Geiger, and her husband's two brothers and seven sisters.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday May 12, 2011, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. Friends will be received at church on Thursday from 12 Noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. Burial will take place in Holy Angels Cemetery. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
    The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Heartland Hospice and the Staff of Grand Horizons in Kimberly for their wonderful care and compassion.
