    Notes:

    Family History Researcher:
Helen Kippenhan married Daniel Valentine Collins on December 27, 1921 in C hicago, Cook Co., Ill.She died on Dec. 7, 1931 in Philadelphia, Penn.T he couple had no children.Helen had nearly died as a teenager as a resu lt of a ruptured appendix, andinsome way I don't really understand, she wasn't able to have children. At some time, I need to get off my butt and send to the cook co. vitalrec ordsmopes to get a copy of Helen & "Val's" marriage record. "Val" was so me sortofexecutive with Sears. My father and his younger sister Rose bo th had goodfeelingsabout "Val". What happened to him after Helen's ear ly death? No one seems toknow.Best regardsH.A. Kippenhan, Jr.
"Val" was an executive at Sears. Helen committed suicide, by turning on the gas and sticking her head in a gas oven (ugh).
I believe Val died on 29 Nov 1944. The source is a little notebook in the possession of John E. Kippenhan (San Jose, Calif.) -
the kind of book one uses to keep track of birthdays, etc. I believe he notebook was the property of John's aunt, Zilah (Cilla).
I always thought Cilla was a shorened version of Priscilla; i've seen baptism records, and her name was really Zilah

Helen married Collins, Daniel Valentine 27 Dec 1921, Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA. Daniel was born 14 Feb 1899, New York, New York, New York, USA; died 29 Nov 1944. [Group Sheet]
