    Obituary:
    Oshkosh - Carl James Becker died on January 30, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was the youngest of August and LaVerne (Martin) Becker. He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on September 8, 1939.
    Carl retired from the United States Army with 21 years of service including time in the U.S. Army, The U.S. Army National Guard, and the U.S. Army Reserves.
    Carl loved watching movies, documentaries, sports and surfing the web on his computer. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grand-children.
    Carl is survived by his wife Jennifer (Jenny), two daughters: Kelley of Downers Grove, Illinois and Carlie (Craig) Herbst, of Oshkosh, two grandchildren: Ryan and Aryn Herbst. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law: Anne Becker, Leda (Gary) Hopfensperger, brothers-in-law: Norbert (Tucky) Pynenberg, Edwin (Lisa) Pynenberg, Earl (Bobbi) Pynenberg, and Richard (Rolshell) Pynenberg. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Never forgotten and always loved, Thomas C., Dean C., and William J.
    He is preceded in death by his parents: August and LaVerne Becker, Brothers: August Jr., Robert (Ione), Earle (Patricia), sisters: Patricia (Ervin) Boach, Alice Becker, brother-in-law: John Pynenberg, and son: Richard Carl.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert Devermann and his staff, as well as the staff at Aurora Hospice which included: KaBoa, Kim, Stacey, and Jennifer.
    A memorial service for Carl will take place on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Fox Cities Funeral Home, 3026 Jackson St., in Oshkosh at 1:30 PM. A time of visitation will take place at Fox Cities Funeral Home from 12:00 until the time of Service at 1:30 PM. Military Honors to recognize Carl's service to the United States will take place following the Memorial Service.
