    Calaway, Robert M.
    Robert M. Calaway, Freedom, age 78, passed away on February 11, 2008, at St. Paul's Nursing Home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 23, 1929, to Frank and Katherine Calaway in De Pere. He worked for Fort Howard Paper Mill and then farmed for many years in West De Pere before moving his family to the new farm in the Town of Oneida. Bob also sold and distributed Vigortone Feeds. Bob enjoyed spending his free time fishing, playing cards, and making everyone laugh, especially his grandchildren.
    Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene (Ambrosius), 11 children and 40 grandchildren: Ralph (Gloria) and their children Brian, Vicki and Robby; Mike (Janet) and their children Kim and Scott; Bill (Sandy) and their children Bill, Jr., Kelly and Jessie; Barb Hooper and her children Tom, Kevin and Jenny; Jean (Greg) Van Handel and their children Jamie, Tami, Craig, Nick, Charlie and Sara; Diane (Tom) Van Groll and their children Mike, Joe, Carrie, Danny and Stephani; Lisa (Ray) Bosshart and their children Stephen and Katie, Nancy (Greg) Van Handel and their children Christy, David, Stacie and Gary; Karen (Jeff) Ruffing and their children Jeff, Jr., Joe, Ben and Molly, Peggy (Tim) Lehrer and their children Kayla, Brandon, Ryan and Corin; Jeff (Vicky) and their children Alex, Amber, Riley and Cassidy. Bob is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren. In addition, Bob is survived by five brothers and sisters: Patricia Goffard, Ann (Carl) Vander Linden, Jim (Diane), Louise (Don) Miske, Paul (Nancy); as well as sister-in-laws: Mary, Grace, Sally and Bonnie Calaway. Bob is also survived by Arlene's family: Nell Manders, Jerry (Joanie) Ambrosius; as well as a brother-in-law: Servanus Vandenberg.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Francis, Pete, Mark and Pat, and a sister, Clara Calaway, as well as a son-in-law, Bill Van Handel. Also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-laws: Bob Goffard, Gene Manders, Ervin and Gladys Ambrosius, Marian and Joe Williams, Fran and Art VandeHei, Jane VandenBerg, Lorraine and Elmer Green, and Don and Helen Ambrosius.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday February 14, 2008, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, N4088 County Trunk E, Freedom, with Fr. David Hoffman officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. concluding the evening, and again directly at church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow Bob's Service in the Parish Cemetery. Boettcher Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is in charge of arrangements. 920-766-2099
