Obituary:
Helen S. Ambrosius, age 92, of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016.
She was born on March 27, 1924 in Green Bay, to the late Joseph & Gertrude Greatens.
Helen married Howard J. Ambrosius on November 14, 1942 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1995.
Helen was a stay at home Mom who babysat many of her grandchildren and several other children.
She was very close to her family and loved when they all got together, especially during the holidays. She loved working outdoors and always had beautiful flowers. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards with her siblings, son-in-law and niece.
Survivors include her children, Jean (John) Tomcheck, Karen (Jim) Simons, Jim (Bonnie) Ambrosius, Mike (Patty) Ambrosius, Joe (Julie) Ambrosius and Ron (special friend, Lisa Leiterman); grandchildren, Jodi (Tom) Harrison, Joleen Exferd, Mike Exferd, Michelle Simons, Cindy Motexen, Rich (Michelle) Simons, Jamey (Michelle) Ambrosius, Kristy (Corey) Hansen, Alyssa (Randy) Kellogg, Cheyenne Weier, Rob Ambrosius, Jesse (Amanda) Thompson, Jenna Ambrosius, Abbey Ambrosius and Amber Ambrosius; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Aerts; brothers, Joe (Marlene Greatens and Bill (Carol) Greatens; sister-in-law, Gladys Ambrosius
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard; daughter, Donna Exferd; five brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until time of prayer service at 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay. Visitation will continue from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Monday, July 18, 2016, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth Street, Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at the church on Monday with Rev. Jim Massart officiating. Burial will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Mom is now with the angels because of the care provided by her "angels" Kim & Sarah with Unity Hospice.
