    Mueller, M.D. PhD, J.R. "Bob"
    J.R. "Bob" Mueller, M.D. PhD, 66, Little Suamico, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009. He was born October 23, 1942, to Joseph and Josephine (Heesakker) Mueller. Bob received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biology. He earned his Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration and Strategic Business Management and Doctorates in Philosophy and Medical Science with emphasis in Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Toxicology and Nuclear Science.
    Bob was proud of his education and accomplishments. He stayed active at many of his Alma Maters including the University of Maryland, where he served as an Adjunct Professor, awarded the President's Medal, and was a chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nuclear Science and Engineering Program Consortium. At the Medical University of South Carolina he was a member of the Senior Faculty and received the Phi Delta Chi Distinguished Scientific Educator's Award. He was an Adjunct Professor of Business Management at Marian College, Lakeshore Technical College, Concordia College and the University of Wisconsin.
    Bob was a member of the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Radiological Laboratories, the Comprehensive Review Technology, Inc., the Clinical Laboratory Educational Programs at St. Louis, MO, the National Advisory Board - The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service, and was Governor's Appointee to the State of Wisconsin Radiation Protection Council. He was a member of the Steering Committee - U.S. Study Group of The International Agency for the Research on Cancer, World Health Organization in Washington, D.C. and Lyon, France. He was a certified Lead Quality Assurance Auditor throughout the World. Bob was awarded with the Educational Leadership Award from Lakeshore Technical College, the E. Nelson Swinerton Distinguished Service Award, the Award of Merit with the Wisconsin Educational Association, and the State Award for Service to Technical Education.
    Bob was employed with Dominion Energy and Nuclear Management Company as a Senior Health Physicist and Medical Review Officer Inspector and at Wisconsin Public Service as a corporate Nuclear Health Physicist.
    He was a member of the American Chemical Society, American Nuclear Society, American Society for Training and Development and the Professional Reactor Operators Society.
    Survivors include two aunts: Margaret Schwaller and Agnes Heesakker; two uncles: Lawrence Heesakker and Francis Heesakker; and his cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Friends may call at Blessed Sacrament Episcopal Church, 825 N. Webster Ave., Green Bay, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. John Cell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Menasha.
