    Hockers, Edna H.Edna H. Hockers, 88, De Pere died suddenly Saturday, June 4, 2005, at h er residence. Edna was born July 23, 1916, in Wrightstown, the daught er of the late Fred A. and Huberdina (Aerts) Baeten. On June 6, 1939, s he was united in marriage to William Hockers in Wrightstown. He preceded h er in death on Dec. 8, 1990. Edna enjoyed time spent with family, especial ly her great-grandchildren. She also liked the company of Bea Janssen a nd her neighbors at Nicolet Terrace, where they enjoyed many card games a nd bingo trips.Survivors include her children, Norma Jean (Thomas H.) Vande Walle, Gre en Bay; Martin “Marty” (Rochelle “Rocky”), De Pere; and Francis “Frank” (D awn) Hockers, Green Bay; six grandchildren, Patrick (Ann) Hockers, Jeffr ey (Sara) Hockers, Leah (Paul) Thomson, Lara (Charles Michael) Fritts, Ja mi (Brad) Vanenkevort and Sarah (Eric Schmoll) Hockers; eight great-grandc hildren, Samantha, Lindsey, Ross, Brady, Breckyn, Caeden, Olivia, and Matt hew; four sisters-in-law, Ruth Baeten, Helen Jane Milquet, Mary Hockers a nd Verna Hockers; and many nieces and nephews.Her husband, parents, brothers, Clarence and Vincent, sisters, Ruth, Dorot hy, and Alice preceded Edna in death.Friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S.     Coniff, Dorothy Helen nee: BaetenDorothy H. Coniff, age 80, went to be with her heavenly father on Thursda y, Dec. 30, 2004, with her children by her side. She suffered a stro ke on Dec. 18 and it was God's will to ease her of her medical problems a nd finally give her peace. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick and H uberdina (Aerts) Baeten of Wrightstown. Dorothy was born into the Cathol ic Faith on Jan. 15, 1924 and was baptized, confirmed, schooled and marri ed at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wrightstown. She married James J. Coni ff on Morrison, Wis., on Nov. 29, 1945. He preceded her in death in 199 3. They lived on the Coniff family homestead in the Town of Morrison. Seve ral years later they moved to Greenleaf where they lived till 1961 when th ey built there home in Menasha. She lived there till September of this ye ar and then moved to her cozy apartment. Dorothy was very active her who le life being involved in many things and she held various jobs both fu ll and part time thru the years. She was an active thirty plus year memb er in the Neenah/Menasha YMCA. Dor-othy was a recent member of the Red H at Ladies. She worked for a number of years helping at St. Mary's with dif ferent functions. Dorothy has made many friends there through the years a nd the family is very grateful for all their concern through another o ne of Dorothy's medical ordeals. She was a fighter, surviving several hea rt attacks, two open heart and a cancer surgeries. She bounced back and re fused to give up. Nothing stopped her once she had her mind made up. Li ke one close friend said, "Dorothy is a tough ol' broad." Nothing got h er down. When Jim was alive they loved to dance their weekends away at dif ferent polka events and in there later years they would take drives and e at their Sunday supper at the first nice supper club they came upon.Survivors include her two children, Dianne (Bruce) Gullickson, and Patri ck (Jean) Coniff, all of Menasha; two grandchildren James (Linda) Gullicks on of Kaukauna; Jeanne (Gullickson) (Jon) Bennett of Oconomowoc; one stepg randdaughter Heather Liesch; she was "GG" to three great-grandchildren wh om she adored, Lauren Marie Bennett, Catherine Lynn Gullickson and Andr ew Jon Bennett; oldest sister, Edna Hockers, De Pere; a sister-in-law, Ru th Baeten, De Pere and formerly of Wrightstown; and her #1 nephew, Milt on "Bud" Baeten, Wrightstown; and many other nieces and nephews to numero us to mention and many godchildren.She was preceded in death by her two brothers and a sister-in-law, Vince nt and Anna Marie Baeten and Clarence Baeten; two sisters and brothers-in- law, Ruth and Wilber Jansen, Alice and Clarence Charneski; and a brother-i n-law, William "Bill" Hockers.The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 200 5, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Menasha. Interment will be in St. John 's Cemetery in the Town of Morrison. Relatives and friends may call on Sun day from 4-7 p.m. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home and again at the chur ch on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowe rs a memorial is being established in her name.The family would like to thank the staff of 4 south and 4 west of St. Eliz abeth Hospital for the kind, gentle care they gave our mother the last da ys of her life.
