Jay,I am compiling the Gerrits Family history, and was wondering if you had a ny further information.(Anna Cyrilla Gerrits married Roy McCallum, they a re my great- Aunt and Uncle)Specifically,Theodore Christ (aka Chris & Chri stian) Gerrits b. Jun 1, 1874, who married Maria Morris.I belive that "Chris" 's parents may have been Johann "John" or "Georg e" Gerrits and Wilhelmina Maas.What is unclear, is if Johann was the brother of Cornelius Gerrits, and th eir parents would be Gerhardus and (Catherine) Antonette GerritsI found a passenger manifest for Jun 18, 1851 showing the family arrivi ng in New York.I also found that a "George" Gerrits d. Oct. 18,1889 is bur ied in the same family plot with "Chris" at St. Paul's Cemetery.Thank You, John D. McCallum

McCallum, Donald R. > OREGON - Donald R.McCallum, passed from this world on Saturday, June 4 ,2005, at theDon and Marilyn Andersonn Hospice Care Center. He was born onJuly 21,1930,to Roy and Cyrilla (Gerrits) McCallum in Appleton, Wis.He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during theKorean War. After attending the University of Wisconsin Extension in Menas ha, he came toMadison, graduating from the UW-Madison in 1957 and the UW Law School in 1 960.Becoming Deputy District Attorney under District Attorneys William Byrne a nd Michael Torphy,he engaged in criminal prosecution. He moved on to private practice a nd in his retirement did
medical malpractice mediation for the Supreme Court.Don especially enjoyed hunting,fishing and golfing over the years with h is family and friendsand tookspecial delight in working on his Town of Rutland property.Don is survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Douglas (Susan) and Michael; gra nddaughter,
Brooke;step-grandchildren, Chad and Amy; and mother-in-law, Anne Esch. He was pre ceded in death
by his parents; and a baby brother, Billy.A memorial Mass will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH ,651 N.Main St., Oregon at 11a.m. on Tuesday, June 7 , 2005 .
