    Obituary:
    Robert Vissers, 78, De Pere, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. He was born April 24, 1921, in Ashwaubenon, to the late Martin and Cecelia (Wilmet) Vissers. Bob married the former Jeanette Vanden Heuvel on Aug. 21, 1943, at Immaculate Conception Church, in Oneida. He worked at Fort Howard for 36 years before retiring in 1983, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Bob was also a member of Golden K and was a volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He enjoyed going up north and spending time with his family. Bob was a loving father, grandfather, and was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere. He also enjoyed playing cards, woodworking and gardening. Bob will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren and great-grandsons.
    Survivors include his children, Bev and Pat Hart, Barbara and Tom VanBeek, Bonnie and Tom Renkens, Bernadette and Chris Zwettler, Mary Jo and John Krohn, Paul and Janet Vissers, LeRoy and Kathryn Vissers, Gary and Del-Lyn Vissers, Mark and Ann Vissers, Martin and Pam Vissers; foster son, David and Jean Bebeau and many other foster children; 34 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brothers and sisters, Leona Nackers, Harvey and Verona Van Lanen, Michael and Joanne Roznowski, Elsie Kempen, Bernard and Lillian Vissers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jane Vissers, John VandeHei, Marvin Vanden Heuvel, Josephine Rottier, Theodora Weyers, Mae Vanden Hoogen, Della (Don) De Starkey and Marie Vanden Heuvel.
    He was preceded in death by one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Mary Vissers; brother, Lawrence; sisters, Frances Vande Hei, Agnes Vande Hei and two infant sisters, Mary and Margaret; brothers-in-law, Tony Weyers, Hank Albers, Alphonse Rottier, Herman Vanden Hoogen, Clarence Kempen, Sylvester Nackers, Francis Vanden Heuvel, Harold Vande Hei; and one sister-in-law, Elaine Vanden Heuvel.
    Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1307 Lourdes Ave., De Pere, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Wake Service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at church. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Conrad Kratz, O.Praem., officiating. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home is assisting the family.

    Obituary:
    LeRoy J. Vissers, 55, of De Pere, passed away December 4, 2003, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 6, 1948, in Green Bay to Robert and Jeannette (VandenHeuvel) Vissers. After graduating from Abbot Pennings High School in 1966, LeRoy joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was discharged as a decorated veteran. Following his discharge, he married the former Kathryn Reinkober on September 18, 1971, in Chilton, Wis. They celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary this past year. LeRoy worked with Western Electric until 1982 and has worked for the City of De Pere for the past 20 years. He enjoyed sharing laughs with his large family, golfing, wood crafting and the outdoors. He also treasured the time he spent with his family at the beautiful cabin he built from the ground up. He was a constant inspiration to all who crossed his path, and his zest for life lives on with his family.
    He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; three daughters and one son-in-law, Angela and Andrew Nelson, Sheboygan Falls, Mollie, Milwaukee and Amanda, De Pere. He also was proudly awaiting the birth of his first grandchild in July. He is survived by four brothers, Paul (Janet), Mark (Ann), De Pere, Gary (Dell-Lyn), Martin (Pam), Green Bay; and five sisters, Bev (Pat) Hart, Barbara (Tom) Van Beek, Bonnie (Tom) Renkens, Mary Jo (John) Krohn, De Pere and Bernie (Chris) Zwettler, Madison. He is also survived by one foster brother, David (Jean) BeBeau, De Pere and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Jeannette Vissers, his wife's parents, Vincent and Edna Reinkober, one brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Mary Vissers, one brother-in-law, Patrick Wood, one nephew, Joseph Van Beek, and great niece, Mollie Brittnacher.
    Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2003. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Conrad Kratz, O. Praem, officiating. Military Burial Rites will be performed following the funeral. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere.     The family would like to thank the many dedicated nurses at St. Vincent Hospital Oncology and Dr. Jules Blank for the wonderful care, comfort and support they provided to LeRoy over the past three years.
