    William P. Birkholz Route 2, Weyauwega,
    Age 79, passed away unexpectedly Thursday at Riverside Hospital, Waupaca following brief illness. He was born Nov 20, 1892 in the Town of Saxeville and lived and farmed in the Weyauwega area his entire life He was married March 5, 191 in West Bloomfield to Anna Boelter. He was a member o St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Weyauwega. Survivor include his wife: Anna; on daughter: Mrs. Russell (Lor- raine) Gorges, R. 1, New Lon don; two sons; Armin R. 2 Weyauwega; Vernon, Combined Locks; 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Two broth ers and three sisters preceeded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at St. Peter Evangel cal Lutheran Church, Weyau- wega with Rev. J. C. Dahlke officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyau- wega. Friends may call at the Cline-Hansen-Dalke Funeral Home, Weyauwega after 3 p.m Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday and then at the church until time of services.

    Fred H. Birkholz, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at his residence. Fred was born on July 22, 1927, in Appleton, son of the late Henry and Helen (Pohrman) Birkholz. On January 21, 1950, he was united in marriage to Arlene Cruger in Weyauwega. They farmed in Weyauwega prior to 1963. In that same year, they opened the Pine Tree Supper Club, which is still family-owned and operated today. His family meant everything to him. Fred was an avid sports fan; he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London.
    Fred is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene; four daughters: Sandy (Harold) Romberg, New London; Corinne (Kim) Dorsey, New London; Debbie Olson (special friend Wayne Mitchell), Shiocton; Sue (Greg) Wood, New London; a son Mark Birkholz (special friend Debbie Engels), New London. Twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive him.
    Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a step- father and two step-brothers.
    Funeral services for Fred will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. John Schewe officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Monday, March 24, 2008, from 4-8 p.m. and also at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

    On Sept. 7, 1950, he married Pearl Odekirk at Weyauwega.Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Okinawa and Ko rea. He worked at West Bend Company as a laborer for thirty- five year s. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Campbellsport, whe re he also served as a custodian at one time.He is survived by his wife, Pearl of Campbellsport; three daughters, Lyn ne Birkholz of Fond du Lac, Wanda (Daryl) Ackerman of Campbellsport and Re nee (Terry) Norskog of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Ryan and Marcy Ackerm an, Ashley and Randy Norskog; one sister, Ursula Badamy of Ohio; many niec es and nephews.• Services: He was preceded in death by his parents, and one half brothe r, Herbert Wehner.Cremation has taken place.     Mark A. Birkholz, age 64, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, his Savior, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in New London on Thursday, December 1, 2016. He was born on December 21, 1951, and is now reunited with his Mom and Dad in Heaven. Mark was loved by all his family for his kind soul and affectionate nature, always greeting us with his heart warming smile and easy- going personality. His family feels privileged to have shared their lives with him. Mark will also be remembered for his unique "charm", that enabled him to get his nurses and caregivers to dote on him and serve him cookies/muffins during his medical appointments. Both Mrs. Dorothy Richter (Galilee School) and Mrs. Marietta Paap (St. Peter Lutheran School) were dedicated teachers, who created a caring atmosphere for Mark, showing him Christian compassion, and what was achievable for him. He loved them both, as he did Jane Schlieve, from Clarity Care, who has strived for the best care for Mark over the past several years, both medically and emotionally, while at Beacon House in New London. She took him 'under her wing', so to speak. We are so grateful for the blessing of these wonderful ladies in his life. Mark was a real "Trooper" through his numerous Dr. visits and treatments, as well as on his earthly journey, despite all obstacles. Mark loved his Green Bay Packers, and never missed watching a game on TV. The dogs we had on the farm brought him great joy and comfort. And we fondly recall the fun we had sledding down our back hill together, in the winter. Mark also enjoyed listening to music on his radio, which was a relaxing 'down time' for him.
    Mark is survived by a brother, Rick (Sandy) Birkholz of Jacksonville, FL and a sister, Ellen (Jon) Wendt of Sequim, WA.; 3 nephews, and a niece, whom he adored: Brian Birkholz, Chris and Andrew Wendt, and Rachel Morris; along with 5 great-nieces, and 1 great-nephew, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
    Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Armin and Dolores Birkholz.
    A memorial service for Mark will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, with Rev. Newlin Schafer and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. A gathering of family and friends will take place directly at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church
    A special thank you from the family to Jane and the staff at Beacon House in New London for all their kindness, assistance, and care for Mark especially over the past 4 years and also to ThedaCare Hospice for their loving care and kindness in his final hours.

    Judy Schroeder, age 69, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015, at her home in Appleton. Judy was a liver transplant recipient and also battled Parkinson's for almost fifteen years.
    Judy was born on October 6, 1945, in New London, to the late Russell and Lorraine (Birkholz) Gorges. She married Robert Schroeder on October 24, 1964, and was very proud to have just celebrated their 50th Anniversary with all of her family and friends.
    Judy grew up on her family's farm in Readfield, WI and went to high school in New London. She worked as a secretary for many years before joining her husband in small business ownership of The London House, an electronics and office supply retail store, which they ran for almost 30 years together.
    Judy is survived by her loving husband, Robert Schroeder, Appleton; three children: Todd (Robyn) Schroeder, Winchester, Sara (John Pack) Pasowicz, Neenah, and Lori (Scott) Gawlick, West Bend; six grandchildren: Eric, Cason, Andrew, Caitlin, Parker, and Connor; great-grandson, Blaise; brother, Dennis (Diane) Gorges and their families.
    She joins in eternal life with her parents, two brothers, Steven and Sheldon, and her and Bob's beloved Samoyed, Casey.
    Judy loved to travel, cook and spend time with family and friends. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Appleton. Judy will be remembered most for her loving heart and generosity to others.
    A memorial service will take place at 7 pm on Thursday, February 19, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 4 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the National Parkinson Foundation.
    The family would like to thank the wonderful and supportive care given by Heartland Hospice, especially her nurse, Katie, and her caregiver, Millie. -

    Leon David Birkholz passed away with his family by his side on December 6, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on February 23, 1947 in Appleton to Vernon and Doris (Bartlein) Birkholz, the oldest of thirteen children. Lee married Paula M. Thiel on May 15, 1970 in Sherwood, Wisconsin. They spent 43 years together in Appleton raising three sons.
    Lee graduated from Appleton High School in 1965 and worked at Appleton Papers (Appvion) for 40 years as a truck driver. Over the years, he was a member of Sacred Heart and St. Bernadette Parishes. Lee was a reflective and private person preferring to remember the good in people. As a 43 year active member of the YMCA, he demonstrated a healthy lifestyle. His interest in sports began when he was on the first Appleton Little League team. He played on various baseball and basketball teams until he started following his sons' and grandchildren's sporting events and activities. His running and biking days turned into hiking and meditation time at various parks. Lee was an avid reader of historical non-fiction and enjoyed a good game of chess. His strength of spirit and focus on family was unwavering.
    He is survived by his wife Paula (Thiel); sons David (Tracey), Matthew and Nathan (Meredith Mason); four grandchildren Jordan Olk, Taylor and Jaxon Birkholz, and William Birkholz; brothers William (Barbara), Robert (Kathryn), Vernon Jr., and Dann; sisters Ann (Donald) Nystrom, Lynn (Richard) Dahl, Barbara (John) Stafford, Joann (Michael) Jolette, Diane (Randy) Brady, Betty (Ben) Brewer, Laurie (Richard) Schinke; Uncle Armin (Delores) Birkholz; Aunt Elizabeth (Robert) West; and 19 nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dawn Birkholz, niece Alisha Nystrom, nephew Brandon Birkholz, brother-in-law Dean DeWildt, and sister-in-law Marty (Beck) Birkholz.
    Memorial Mass will be held Friday December 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at church. Wichmann Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
