    Obituary:
    Roy J. Deering, formerly of White Lake, Wisconsin, died at 2:09 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Brewster Village in Appleton. He died surrounded by his family, following a short, yet valiant fight against cancer. Roy was born May 23, 1926 in Kaukauna, son of the late Arnold and Helen (Vandenberg) Deering, and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1943. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 until 1946, and was stationed at North Island Naval Base in San Diego. He was married to Joyce M. Beusch on June 9, 1951. Roy worked as a long-haul semi driver for Hennes Trucking, specializing in oversized loads. He retired in 1988. Roy and Joyce purchased their retirement dream home on Sawyer Lake in Langlade County in 1976, and spent thirty-four years in the Wisconsin northwoods.
    He is survived by four children: Sue (Jo Randall) Deering of Portland, Oregon; Mary Green of Appleton; Joe Deering of McHenry, Illinois; and Jerry (Lori) Deering of Appleton; two sisters: Rosemary Hester of Battle Ground, Washington and Ann Bowers of Wrightstown; two brothers: John (Nancy) Deering of San Luis Obispo, California and Peter Deering of Green Valley, Arizona; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce; his parents; and a brother Erle Deering.
    A memorial service for Roy will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, with Rev. April Kain-Breese officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brewster Village.     Deering, Erle J. 108 E. Seventh Street KaukaunaAge 72, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2002 at the Clement Zabloc ki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. Erle was born in Kaukauna on March 1 2, 1929, son of the late Arnold and Helen (Vandenberg) Deering. On Septemb er 13, 1955, he married the former Darlene Eiting in Hollandtown; she surv ives. During the Korean Conflict he proudly served as a member of the Unit ed States Army and was currently a member of the Urban Klister Post #4 36 of the American Legion. Erle enjoyed his dogs Penny and Bandit, and w as an avid reader and Green Bay Packer fan. He is survived by his wife: Da rlene Deering of Kaukauna; four children: Dennis Deering of Kaukauna, Deni se (Steve) Knott of Kaukauna; Leanne Wiese of Mountain and her special fri end Glenn Springstroh, and Neil (Laurie) Deering of Kaukauna; five grandch ildren: Amy Wiese, Aaron and Scott Deering; Kasey and Kristin Knott; two s tep-grandchildren: Kelly and Nicole Knott; three brothers: Roy (Joyce) Dee ring of White Lake, John (Nancy) Deering of California, and Peter Deeri ng of Arizona; two sisters: Rosemary (Kirby) Hester of Port Angeles, Washi ngton and Ann Bowers of Kaukauna; four sisters-in-law: Ella Mae (Bob) Van de Wettering of Kaukauna, Betty Lou Thon of Darboy, Alverne (Paul) Broer en of Manawa and Therese Eiting of Kaukauna.     Ann K. (Deering) Bowers, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona. Ann was born on October 17, 1934, the daughter of the late Arnold and Helen Deering. On October 17, 1955 Ann married the love of her life, Lawrence P. Bowers. They were married for 26 years before Larry preceded her in death on November 12, 1981. Ann and Larry together ran a dairy farm and built their family.
    Ann enjoyed watching the Packers play football, preferably when they won. She enjoyed her time at the cottage, traveling, working in her flower garden, reading, spending time with friends and family. She was an active member of the Town of Kaukauna Historical Society.
    Survivors include her children: Peter (Barb) Bowers and their children, Jamie (Michelle) Bowers, Jason (Amber) Bowers, Jeremy (Kelly) Bowers, and Jolene (David) Loritz; Arnold (Sheryl) Bowers and their children Michelle (Nathan) Gonnering, Christine Bowers, Lawrence Bowers, and Adam Bowers; Helen Schmude (special friend Mark Schlies) and her children Kevin Bowers and Anthony Bowers; Jean Hill and her children Kayla Hill and Tori Hill. She is also survived by brothers Peter Deering and John (Nancy) Deering; a sister Rosemary Hester; and ten great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
    In addition to her parents, Arnold and Helen Deering, and her husband Lawrence, Ann was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Holly Mae Bowers, her brothers: Roy (Joyce) Deering and Earl (Darlene) Deering, a brother-in-law Kirby Hester; her mother and father-in-law: Henry and Cecilia Bowers, her brothers and sisters-in-law: Lloyd Bowers, Norman Bowers, Nancy Bowers, Lorraine (Jim) Shillcox, Mildred (Roy) Lamers, Mary (Jim) Hermes, and Eleanor Bowers, as well as several nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service for Ann will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Holy Cross Church, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna.
