    Clemens D. Schaefer Clemens D. Schaefer, 86, Century Ridge in Chilton, formerly of N4152 Hwy 5 5, Stockbridge went home to be with his wife in heaven on Tuesday July 2 5.Clem was born March 22, 1920 in the Town of Stockbridge to the late Math ew and Anastasia (Watry) Schaefer. He proudly served in the Army during WW II and was a member of the VFW Post and American Legion in Stockbridge; al so the DAV Chapter 65 of Wisconsin. On October 28, 1948 he married Bernade tte Halbach at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. She preceded h im in death on April 12, 1998. Clem worked hauling milk for Fred Kohn, dro ve bus for the Hemauer Bus Co. Stockbridge, and was employed at Tecumseh P roducts Co. from 1964 until he retired in 1984; he also ran the family fa rm in Stockbridge until his retirement. One of his favorite past times w as to take a ride to get a hamburger at the Red & White or The Stretc h. He enjoyed driving the back roads and taught his grandchildren nev er to drive the same road twice. Clem and his wife did a lot of card playi ng, dancing, and also traveling throughout the United States. Clem was a l ifelong member of St. Mary's Church in Stockbridge. Clem is survived by h is two sons Glen (Joyce) Schaefer, Kiel and Kenneth (Sherrie) Schaefer, Ch ilton. Eight grandchildren, Mark (Tammy) Schaefer, Lonnie (Fiancée Jessi ca Grube) Schaefer, Phillip (Special Friend Jolene) Schaefer, Patrick Scha efer, Kami Schaefer, Tara (Nicholas) Bennin, Terrie (Michael) Zirbel, Math ew (Special Friend Cassie Keuler) Schaefer. Two great-grandchildren, Co dy Schaefer and Alexis Zirbel. A brother Robert (Rita) Schaefer. A brother -in-law, Leander Halbach and three sisters-in-law, Lila (Donald) Kampfe r, Marie Schaefer and Delores Schaefer. Many other nieces and nephews furt her survive him. Clem was also preceded in death by his parents, three bro thers and a sister-in-law; Hugo, Paul (Agnes), and Raymond Schaefer, a nd an infant grandchild. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturd ay July 29, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. Burial wi ll be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at church from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday July 29, 2006 when service will be held. A mem orial fund has been established in the name of Clemens D. Schaefer.     Robert T. Schaefer, age 88, of Stockbridge, died on Monday, July 11, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born April 22, 1923 in the Town of Stockbridge, son of the late Mathew & Anastasia (Watry) Schaefer. He married Rita Ecker on November 23, 1955 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Kloten. Robert was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge. He was a hard worker who truly loved family farming and the simple pleasures that country life afforded. In his free time, Robert enjoyed mowing his lawn, traveling the countryside on back roads, and stopping for a burger or ice cream cone. He was a devoted husband and father who's good sense of humor will be greatly missed.
    Survivors include his wife: Rita; 3 daughters: Jean Schaefer, Sandy (Jim) Propson, Kay Vercauteren; a son: Michael Schaefer; a grandson: John Vercauteren; 2 sisters-in-law: Marie Schaefer, Dorothy (Ronald) Alger; and 2 brothers-in-law: Robert (Carolyn) Ecker, and Allen (Linda) Ecker. Robert is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law: Gary Vercauteren; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law: Hugo (Dolores), Clem (Bernadette), Paul (Agnes), & Raymond Schaefer; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Leroy (Janet) Ecker.
    Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church (Military Rd.) in Stockbridge with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2011 and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Friday evening at the funeral home at 7:30 PM.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Tipler for the care provided to Robert.

    Paul Schaefer, age 67 of Hilbert, WI succumbed to prostate cancer on Aug. 28, 2015. He passed away on his own terms in his home surrounded by family. He was brave, strong and loved beyond words.
    Paul was born on Aug. 24, 1948 and grew up in Stockbridge on a farm. He served in the U.S. Army 1968-1970. He worked at Tecumseh in New Holstein for 39 years and retired from Warehouses of Wisconsin (WOW) in 2012. He lived his life in service of others, fixing neighbors' lawnmowers and volunteering for projects. He remained a proud veteran and belonged to the American Legion Post 127 in Hilbert.
    Paul married Patricia (Schwalenberg) Schaefer on April 17, 1971. Paul raised 4 daughters: Jill, Tina, Gail and Lisa. He was a patient and involved father. He also adored his 5 grandchildren.
    Paul enjoyed snowmobiling, plowing snow, playing Sheepshead and the Packers. Most of all, he loved sturgeon spearing.
    Paul is survived by his wife Pat, daughters, their significant others and his grandchildren: Jill Schaefer & Chris Rozoff | Tina & Neil Sowinski, Natalie, Kaitlyn & Emily | Gail & Craig Pattermann, Leo & Logan | Lisa Schaefer & Kevin Arndt.
    Additional survivors include: Harvey (Jane) Schaefer, Dennis (Pat) Schaefer, Gary (Rosemary) Schaefer, Diane (John) Schneider, Bruce (Connie) Schaefer, Wayne (Becky) Schaefer, Jim Schaefer & Gail Bukowski-Picard, Brenda (Tom) Peroutka, Delores Schwalenberg (mother-in-law), Charles Schwalenberg, Kathy (Steve) Hemauer, Jim (Cindy) Schwalenberg, Dan (Ruth) Schwalenberg, Steve (Lisa) Schwalenberg, David (Lori) Schwalenberg, Paul (Kelly) Schwalenberg and John (Amy) Schwalenberg.
    He was preceded in death by his parents Agnes (Zitzelsberger) & Paul Schaefer, Sr., father-in-law Cyril Schwalenberg, brother-in-law Mike Schwalenberg, nephew Adam Schwalenberg and nieces Jennifer and Amanda Hemauer.
    Paul's wake will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at Wieting Funeral Home, Chilton from 6-8 p.m. His funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Paul J. Schaefer, Jr.
    His family appreciates the outpouring of love and support. Special thanks to Paul's medical staff at the Milwaukee VA and FVHO. Extra thanks to Theda Care at Home Hospice.
