Van Schyndel, Richard G. "Ric h"Van Schyndel, Richard G. "Rich" age 91 died Saturday, January 14, 200 6, at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. He was born May 22, 1914, in Min nesota son of George and Anna (Van Lemoen) Van Schyndel. Richard married L ucille Gossen June 15, 1937, at Immaculate Conception Church, Oneida and t hey celebrated 63 years of marriage together. Lucille preceded Richa rd in death March 5, 2001. Mr. Van Schyndel was a member of Holy Cross Cat holic Church, Kaukauna. Richard and his wife farmed in Freedom. He enjoy ed fishing and loved playing cards, especially sheepshead, smear and cribb age. Rich also enjoyed his cottage on Sawyer Lake for 40 years with his fa mily and friends.Richard is survived by a sister, Anna Verkuilen, Kaukauna; brother, Mart in (Evelyn) Van Schyndel, Wrightstown; brothers-and sisters-in-law, niece s, nephews and other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife; sister, Frances Drephal; brothers, H enry, Arnold, Joseph and Bernard Van Schyndel; brothers-and sisters-in-la w.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Ho ly Cross Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Fox officiating. Interment w ill be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the chur ch from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass.A special thank you to Richard's sister, Annie Verkuilen and her family f or his care after Lucille's passing. They made it possible for Rich's dini ng out for Friday fish fry, Tuesday chicken, gambling and trips back up no rth to see old friends. A special thank you also to several nieces and nep hews for their help and to Parkside Care Center and staff for their care a nd concern in Rich's final days.
