    Obituary:
    Lorraine Catherine Hornke, age 87, of Menasha, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2012 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. Lorraine was born on June 22, 1925, in Kimberly, WI. She was the daughter of William P. and Adeline (Zenz) Schumacher. Lorraine was a graduate of Kimberly High School, Class of 1943. After graduating, she was employed as a bookkeeper by the former Wisconsin Distributing Co. On May 10, 1947, she married John Hornke at Holy Name Church in Kimberly. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2005. Lorraine had a long career as a tax consultant with the Internal Revenue Service spanning from 1969 until her retirement in 1986. Lorraine loved outdoor activities, especially playing golf. She served as an officer in several area golf leagues. She particularly enjoyed golfing with her friend Shirley Gmeiner. She also enjoyed traveling with John and visiting all fifty states and Canada. Lorraine and John spent their winters in Englewood, Florida.
    Lorraine is survived by her brother, Delmar (Nancy) Schumacher, Warminster, PA; special nieces, Sharon (Dan) Manson, Stoughton, WI, Karen (Mark) Vornholt, Neillsville; special nephew, Paul (Mary) Krueger, Appleton; as well as other nieces and nephews and special friends, the Brei family.
    She was preceded in death by her husband John; sisters, Bernice Decker, Ramona Krueger, and her parents.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Church with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of mass. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery.
    The family wishes to thank the staff of Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center for their compassionate care of Lorraine.

    Decker, Bernice R. Bernice R. Decker, of Waupaca, formerly of Madison, age 77, died on Monday, August 16, 2004, at the Cherry Meadows Hospice Center in Appleton of renal and congestive heart failure. She was born on August 19, 1926, to William and Adeline Schumacher. Bernice graduated from Kimberly High School in 1946. She married Harold Hopfensperger in 1948. She moved to the Madison area where Bernice worked at American Family Insurance for over 20 years. In 1969 Bernice married Donald Decker. After she retired she moved to Waupaca to be closer to family members. She enjoyed her close friends and family. She is survived by her sisters: Lorraine (John) Hornke, Ramona Krueger, brother: Delmar (Nancy) Schumacher, children: Gary (Leda) Hopfensperger, Sharon (Dan) Manson and Rick Hopfensperger, grandchildren: Kristine (Allen) Adams, Steve Manson, Mike Manson, Kimberly Hopfensperger, and Chandra Hopfensperger, great-grandchildren: Cassie Adams and Brianna Adams, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dick Krueger.

    Krueger, Ramona - Ramona, age 81, of Appleton, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Fox River Assisted Living. She was born November 10 1928, in Kimberly, daughter of the late William and Adeline Schumacher. She graduated from Kimberly High School in 1946. She earned a Registered Nurse degree in 1950 from the St. Agnes School of Nursing (now Marian University) in Fond du Lac. She was employed by St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton; Sunnyside Community Hospital, Sunnyside, WA; and Appleton Medical Center, Appleton, until her retirement. While her children were in elementary school, she took time off from nursing and worked as the librarian at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton. Ramona married Richard F. Krueger, April 26, 1952, sharing 25 years together before his death June 10, 1977.
    Ramona is survived by a daughter, Karen (Mark) Vornholt, Neillsville; four sons: Steven (Vicki) Krueger, West Jefferson, NC, and their daughters Stephanie (Lucas) Tinker, Hilary Krueger, Valerie (Jason) Hite and Kimberly Krueger; Paul (Mary) Krueger, Appleton, and their children, Alyssa and Jacob; Tony Krueger and special friend Sarah Nieland, Appleton, and their son Aiden and his brother Elwood and sister Malayda; Mark (Kim) Krueger, Houston, TX, and stepsons Kevin and Kyle Santolini; a sister, Lorraine (John) Hornke, Menasha; a brother, Delmar (Nancy) Schumacher, Warminster, PA.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Decker.
    Mass of the Resurrection will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald St. Appleton, with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
    The Family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Fox River Assisted Living, Affinity Hospice and St. Thomas More faith community.
