    Rosemary (Baenen) Jacobson, 83, Green Bay, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, after a nine month struggle with lung cancer. She was born June 21, 1924, in Green Bay, to the late William and Eva (Janssen) Baenen, the first of ten children. Rosemary attended Cathedral School for 10 grades and graduated from East High School in 1942. She married Dave Jacobson on December 17, 1959. He preceded her in death in 1980. Rosemary worked for Wisconsin Telephone in Green Bay and Appleton for 36 years, retiring in 1982. After retirement, she spent winters in Plantation, Fla. While living in Appleton, she was a member of St. Thomas More Parish. Since returning to Green Bay in 1990, she has been a member of St. Agnes Parish. Until her illness, she attended daily Mass and was dedicated to Eucharistic Adoration and Family Prayer Night devotions. Rosemary was a very generous and giving person. Many of her nieces and nephews were recipients of her beautiful hand knit baby afghans. Local food pantries and Love Life benefited from her generosity, as well as projects by the Telephone Pioneers, of which she was a long time member. She loved family gatherings and lunching with former co-workers and classmates. She is survived by three sisters and a brother: Ellen Baierl, Luxemburg; Claire (Larry) De Clerc, Green Bay; Ruth (Don) Stoehr, Green Bay; Paul (Diane) Baenen, Wrightstown; a brother-in-law, Bob Smeester, Tucson, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special Florida friends, Ed and Judy Crelin and family. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Norma (John) Davies, Jim (Carol) Baenen, Marian Smeester, Peter Baenen, and an infant brother, William; and a brother-in-law, Roland Baierl.     Carl James DeGroot, 79, Hutchinson, Kan. and formerly of Green Bay, passed away peacefully Sept. 22, 2010. Born Aug. 5, 1931, in Green Bay, the youngest son of Frank Henry and Jennie (Murray) DeGroot, he attended Green Bay East High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning from military service, he began what would become a 43-year career with the James River Corp., retiring as a millwright in 1994. On Nov. 12, 1955, he married Marlene R. Rentmeester and together they raised three children. Frank, Nancy and Julie felt blessed to host their parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration in 2005. With a large crowd of family and friends in attendance, Carl and Marlene danced together again. Marlene preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 2006.
    He attended Holy Cross Parish in Hutchinson and was a member of Prince of Peace Parish in Green Bay. An avid blood donator prior to his illnesses, Carl was a member of an elite club donating more than 30 gallons of blood. He was a lifelong Packer fan. For years he and Marlene were season ticket holders attending games regardless of weather conditions, including the 1967 Ice Bowl. Carl also enjoyed snowmobiling and hunting in northern Wisconsin and camping, card playing and fishing at Pentago Park, Mich. A skilled gardener, he was always able to produce more vegetables than needed giving much away over the years to extended family, friends, neighbors and the local food pantry. Carl loved working in the garden and tinkering in the shed. He will be remembered (surely with a smile) as "Caca" by his buddies and as "Uncle Caca" by his many nieces and nephews.
    He will be forever loved and deeply missed by son, Frank (Gale) DeGroot, Hutchinson, Kan.; and daughters, Nancy (Ricky) Graves, Marquette, Mich.; and Julie (Shelly Bohm) DeGroot, Oshkosh; grandchildren, Brandon (Amy), Trey (Donna), David, Kyle (Joie), Ashley, Stephanie, Melissa, Hannah and Emma; great-grandchildren, Kirstyn, Hailey, Skylar, Aiden, Parker, Kyle, Grace, T.J., Dylan and Cooper.     Geraldine R. "Gerry" (Jacobs) Nooyen, 86, Pulaski, died early Friday morning, April 29, 2016, with her husband, Melvin, and many family members at her side.
    The daughter of Albert and Mamie (DeGroot) Jacobs was born January 26, 1930, in Bay Settlement. She met Melvin A. Nooyen when the two of them stood up together for two weddings and decided to tie the knot themselves on October 4, 1948. They enjoyed 67 years of a wonderful marriage. They began their farming journey in Scray's Hill and, soon after in 1955, purchased a farm in the Pulaski area. They called the family business "Nooyen Farms."
    Gerry and Melvin raised twelve children. She loved her family and doted on her grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to country music, gardening, sewing, embroidering, and quilting. She was a big fan of professional wrestling. Gerry loved to host family gatherings, especially at the holidays, a setting at which she could show off her great cooking talents. She and Melvin traveled all over the world with their family, and especially enjoyed visiting Hawaii and New Zealand.
    In addition to her loving husband, Melvin, she is survived by ten children: Michael Nooyen, Pulaski, Patrick (Patsy Gauthier) Nooyen, Suring, Gerald (Kathy Johnson) Nooyen, Pulaski, Roger Nooyen, Pulaski, Clayton (Pauline) Nooyen, Pulaski, Richard (Marilyn Linzmeier) Nooyen, Pulaski, Robert (JoAnn) Nooyen, Seymour, Nancy (Gary) Nooyen-Wade, Pulaski, Melvin Jr. (LeAnn) Nooyen, Pulaski, and Tammy (Aaron Niespodzany) Nooyen, Seymour; 33 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one brother: Ray (Rosemary) Jacobs, Luxemburg; one brother-in-law: Norbert Cravillion, Green Bay; one sister-in-law: Diane Jacobs, Crivitz; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He and Lynne owned and operated By The Bay Motel in Fish C reek for 25 years.Bill was a great humanitarian.     Ralph Vandenbush, 87, Green Bay passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010.
    Ralph was born on July 14, 1922, in Green Bay the son of the late Jack and Mary (Baenen) Vandenbush.
    On April 10, 1948, he married the former Rosemary Adriansen and the couple enjoyed over 61 years together.
    Ralph was a carpenter by nature and built custom homes for most of his career until his retirement. He loved stream or lake fishing and spent countless hours in the boat with his brother Hank.
    Ralph is survived by his loving wife Rosemary, his son Paul Vandenbush (Barb Wake), Green Bay; his daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Fred Gustin, Plymouth, MA; Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren; One sister Cora Van Donsel; one sister-in-law Lila Vandenbush, two stepsisters Sherry Kampo, RoseAnn Cole. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by one sister Helen Vandenbush, two brothers and one-sister-in-law Henry (Mae) Vandenbush, Robert Vandenbush, one brother-in-law Donald Van Donsel.
    Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 2561 Glendale Avenue, Howard. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. John Bergstadt officiating.
    The family would like to offer a very warm note of appreciation and special thanks to the staffs of Unity Hospice and Bornemann's CBRF for all of their wonderful care and attention shown to Ralph.

    Helen V. (House) Vandenbush Helen V. (House) Vandenbush, 70, Green Bay, died Tuesday afternoon, Janua ry 18, 2000 at a local hospital following a short illness. Born in Ocon to on May 3, 1929 she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Baenen) Vandenbus h. She married Frank House on November 26, 1949 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Church. Helen was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Parish and A.A.R.P. She was a very devoted mother who loved her children deeply. Hel en enjoyed the "fun bus," her music boxes (especially her angel ones), cari ng for her birds and cooking. Survived by two daughters, Linda and Julie House bo th of Green Bay; former spouse and good friend, Frank House of Green Bay; two brothers and spouses, Ralph and Rosemary Vandenbush of Allouez, Henry Vandenbush of Green Bay; one sister, Cora Van Donsel of Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Laila Vandenbush of Green Bay; two half sisters, Sherry Ka mpo of Woodruff; Rose Ann and Arnie Coel of Oconto; many nieces and nephews.
