Verbest, Gloria AppletonAge 67, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at Peabody Manor. She was b orn February 18, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Henry a nd Minnie (Kamps) Zeegers. She was employed as a legal secretary in the Ch icago area for many years and retired in 1988. She was a member of St. Mar y's Catholic Church, Appleton and the Professional Womens Club of Chicag o. Survivors include a daughter, Maureen Zeegers, Appleton; two sons and d aughters-in-law: Scott and Windy Verbest, New Jersey; Guy and Odile Verbes t, Grenoble, France; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Joseph Zeegers, App leton; Paul and Cheryl Zeegers, Madison; five grandchildren: Amanda and Br andon Verbest, New Jersey; Alexandre, Pauline and William Verbest, Franc e. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lambert Zeegers; two sisters, t win sister, Shirley Weinert and Dorothy; a sister-in-law, Elaine Zeeger s. A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Septem ber 1, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Holly officia ting. A memorial fund has been established.
