    Obituary:
    MICHAEL METZ
    Michael Metz, 90, of Fredonia, died Sunday at Sheboygan St. Nicholas Hospital following a lingering illness. Born Oct. 19, 1877 at St. John in Calumet County, he was a son of the late John and Johanna Metz. He married Mary Moehn in 1900. She died in 1917. In 1918 he married Mary Siegel who proceded him in death in 1956.
    Mr. Metz operated a grocery store in Fredonia for many years and later was employed as a salesman for the Monarch Distributing Co., of Sheboygan. Following retirement, he lived with a daughter, Mrs. Viola Depies of Fredonia. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freonia, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
    Survivors include two sons, Norman of Golds Boro, N.C., and Clarence of Fredonia; four daughters, Mrs. Mike (Hilda) Jacoby of Random Lake, Mrs. Depies of Fredonia, Mrs. Eno (Mildred) Schmidt of Santa Anna, Calif., and Mrs. Rose Dernier of Cedarburg; 13 grandhildren and 15 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Suan Soper of Milwaukee. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Fredonia, the Rev. Edward Czajkowski, pastor, celebrant of the requiem Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Jungers Funeral Home, Dacada, after 3 pm. Tuesday. Vigils by the parish and Catholic Order of Foresters will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
