    Notes:

    Obituary:
James J. "Jim" Woldt, age 56, passed away at his home Sunday evening, January 21, 2007, with his loving family by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 28, 1950, in Appleton, the son of Raymond and Martha (Van Handel) Woldt. On April 8, 1972, he married the love of his life, Connie Hersant, in Appleton. Jim was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour. He was employed with Appleton "Papers" for 38 years as a millwright. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, the Green Bay Packers (he was able to enjoy and attend his first Packer game with his family in September), computer bicycle solitaire, working on tractors, aviation and flying with Jerry Steffens, and taking long rides in his truck as if there was no tomorrow. There was nothing more he looked forward to than the week at the cottage in the summertime, with his family; especially taking his grandchildren boating and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; three children and grandchildren: Travis (Katie) Woldt, Twsp. of Oneida, and their children, Jacob and Joseph, Lisa (Quentin) Johnson, Freedom and their children, Taylor, Derek and Emma; and Kelli Woldt, Freedom, and her daughter, Mikenna. He is further survived by his parents, Raymond and Martha Woldt, Appleton; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wallace and Loretta Hersant, Appleton; his sisters and brother: Carol (Lyle) Spiegelberg, Manawa; Patricia Woldt, Neenah; and Robert (Donna) Woldt, Kaukauna; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Wally "Sam" (LouAnn) Hersant, Appleton; Sherry (Andy) Deltour, Reedfield; and Wesley Hersant, Appleton; also many loved nieces and nephews.

"Dad, you had a sense of humor and had a way of making people laugh, even in your illness, you comforted us with your wit. You always said, you weren't 'pushing up the daisies yet,' and now you're no longer on the sunny side of the grass, but at peace in heaven, forever. We all love you and will miss you dearly."
"Grandpa 'Papa Jim,' thank you for always making us feel special. You are now our guardian angel. Love you!"
Jim wrote: "When I was born, I was crying and everyone around me was smiling. I lived my life so that when I die I will be the one smiling and everyone around will be crying."
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Guenther and the staff at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center for their care and compassion, especially Marlene and Melissa for all their hugs; the AMC Radiation Oncology Unit, and the wonderful staff on 3 South; and Theda Care Hospice, especially Paul. We would also like to thank our many friends and relatives for all their support. Special thanks to Mike Pingel and Tom Cleven, for all the special visits.

James married Hersant, Connie (daughter of Hersant, Wallace and Tyvol, Loretta) [Group Sheet]
