    Trudy (VandeLogt) Kolb, 79, De Pere, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Door County Memorial Hospital, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 23, 1927, in Little Chute, Wis., to George and Catherine (Rutten) VandeLogt. Her family moved to De Pere, where she attended St. Mary's Grade School. In l945, she graduated from East De Pere High School. On June 6, 1953, she married Eugene Kolb. Together they raised five children with whom they enjoyed activities such as traveling, camping and family gatherings at their cottage in Silver Cliff, later in Door County and at home. She had been employed at Baeten's Store and later at Royal Cleaners and eventually retired from Dorsch Ford in l990. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling especially her trip to the Holy Land and to China to pick up her granddaughter. She also enjoyed square dancing. Trudy was a longtime member of St. Mary's Parish in De Pere.
    Survivors include her husband, Eugene; five children and their spouses, Cathy and Ken Blaney, Green Bay; Chris and Donna Kolb, Joliet, Ill.; Jon and Mary Jo Kolb, Green Bay; Jeanne Kolb, Sheboygan; Tim and Min Kolb, Merced, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Kathleen and Erin Blaney, Grace Kolb, Allison and Emily Kolb, Anthony and Ethan Kolb; a special sister and brother-in-law, Rosalie "Lee" and William Kolb, De Pere; a brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Evelyn VandeLogt, California; a sister-in-law, Audrey VandeLogt, Menasha; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ruby and Bob Ahasay, Lloyd and Beverly Kolb, Darrell Kolb, Nancy (Jerome Kolb) Ringblom; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by an infant son, Anthony; her parents and three brothers, Anthony, Bernard and Yvoine VandeLogt; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Pearl (Spear) Kolb.
    Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may also call at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Dr., in De Pere, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. John Harper officiating. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.     Trudy's family would like to acknowledge the excellent care she received from the doctors, nurses and staff of Door County Memorial Hospital. The overwhelming kindness and compassion of the entire staff is truly appreciated. They also want to thank Dr. Mark Villwock for his professional care and friendship. Finally, they want to thank "The Kolbs across the street" for all they have done for Trudy and her family. Their kindness and generosity will always be remembered.
