    Francis J. VerVoort, age 72, of Seymour passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 28, 1944 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, a son of the late Peter and Ruth (Meulemens) VerVoort. He was united in marriage to Judy M. Gritt on June 15, 1968 in Seymour.
    Fran was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Seymour, a choir member for many years, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of St. Vincent DePaul. He had also served in the Army Reserves, 395th Ordinance Co.
    Fran worked as an auto body technician for Gustman's in Seymour and also operated Fran's Auto Body. He retired from Stora Enso in Kimberly as a machine operator.
    Fran's family and grandchildren gave him much more joy than anything else in the world. Each and every one of them were treasured in Fran's heart.
    He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children: Scott (Angel) VerVoort, Mike (Jeanne) VerVoort, Jeff (Marlene) VerVoort, Glen (Sarah) VerVoort, and Kim (Bill) VanHandel; grandchildren: Colton, Megan, Cheyenne, Brianna, Nick, Justin, Bryce, Brooke, Devin, Rachel, James, Levi, Jacob, Brian, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren: Otto, Mavryk, and Dezyl; Further survived by his siblings: Rosemary (Dale) Van Elsen, Gary (Karen) VerVoort, Kay (Bill) Roskom, Dan VerVoort, Dar (Bob) Price, and Bill (Marcia) VerVoort; in-laws: Keith (Jan) Gritt, Karen (Bert) Gietman, Eddie (Mary) Gritt, Mary (Jerry) Lawrence, Carolyn (Bruce) Fassbender, June (Terreson) Parr, Christine Vander Zanden, Becky (Gary) Schaumberg, Steve Gritt, Kim (Bruce) Johnson, and Jennifer (Bob) Wagner; and special aunt, Sister Jean Anthony
    Fran was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary; grandson, Kyle; daughter-in-law, Bev; special nephew, Joe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Esther Gritt.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a parish prayer service at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11 am with Fr. Brian Belongia and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery with military honors.

    Joshua T. Verbeten, of Kaukauna, age 23, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 11, 2008. A Memorial Service is tentatively set for Sunday at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna. A full obituary will appear in Saturday's paper. 920-766-2099
    TOWN OF VANDENBROEK - A man killed early Thursday in a one-vehicle crash near Claribel and Green Bay roads has been identified as Joshua Verbeten, 23, of Kaukauna.
    Outagamie County Coroner Ruth Wulgaert said Verbeten died of multiple blunt-force trauma.
    The Outagamie County Sheriff's Department said Verbeten's vehicle was headed east on State 96 when it entered a ditch, struck a tree, driveway culvert and power pole.
    He was thrown from the vehicle and pinned underneath, and his vehicle caught fire after the crash.
    Police said speed, alcohol and not wearing a seat belt were factors in the 2:10 a.m. crash.
    Verbeten's death is the ninth traffic fatality in Outagamie County this year, according to Wulgaert.

    Joshua P. "Josh" Verbeten, of Kaukauna, age 23, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 11, 2008. He was born May 28, 1985, in Appleton, son of Thomas Verbeten and Darlene (VerVoort) Price. Josh was a graduate of Kaukauna High School in 2003. He enjoyed shooting pool, golfing, and spending time outdoors. Hanging out with his friends and siblings was how he spent most of his time.
    He is survived by his father, Thomas J. (Cathy) Verbeten, Kaukauna; and mother, Darlene (Bob) Price, Kaukauna. He is loved and missed by his twin brother, Jon Verbeten; his sisters: Lora (Jeff) Moericke, Katie (Gio) Lange, and Jesse (Dan) Verbeten; nieces, Madysen and Hailey Moericke; also by his best friends: Nick Bouressa, Joe Fischer, Brett Fiestandt, Luke Hartzheim, Eric Huss, Jay Randerson, and many other close friends. Josh is further survived by his paternal grandmother, Rosella Verbeten; his paternal aunts and uncles: Diane (Jim) Behm, Karen (Tom) Verbeten, Donna George) Ottie, Debbie (Ken) Vander Heiden, Tim (Barb) Verbeten, Terry (Lisa) Verbeten, Shari (Al) Johnson, Sheila Verbeten, Joe (Kate) Verbeten, and John Verbeten; his maternal aunts and uncles: Fran (Judy) VerVoort, Rosemary (Dale) Van Elsen, Kay (Bill) Roskom, Gary (Karen) VerVoort, Dan (special friend Jane) VerVoort, and Bill (special friend Marcia) VerVoort. Josh will also be remembered and missed by his many close cousins.
    Josh will be remembered most for his easy going nature and his sense of humor. He was the kind of guy who would talk to anyone and everyone, and his smile will be missed by all who knew him.
    A Memorial Service for Joshua will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2008, at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Friends may call on Sunday at the Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a charitable memorial fund will be established in Josh's name.
