    Obituary:
    Jerry R. Puls, age 72, of Shiocton, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, December 9, 2013 at St. Joseph's Residence in New London. He was born June 8, 1941 to the late Roy and Edna (Kuse) Puls.
    On February 16, 1963 he was united in marriage to Catherine Riehl at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New London where he also was baptized and confirmed.
    Jerry was employed for 33 years at Badger Highways Co. until his retirement. "The word is he was the best roller man around." He enjoyed driving dump truck after his retirement and was an avid sports fan, hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, especially in "The Coop". He took pride in his lawn, which looked like a golf course.
    Jerry was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Center and a member of the Shiocton Lions Club.
    He was survived by his wife, Catherine; children: Jeff (Pam) Puls, Shiocton; Jay (Tanya) Puls, Shiocton; Jason (Elisa) Puls, Hortonville; grandchildren: Lindsey (Zac), Frederick, Sam, Benny, Billie Jean, Callie, Evan; one brother, Jim Puls, Shiocton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Jean Fuhrmann, Nancy( Rudy) Plach, Lois (Bob) Volkman, James (Judy) Riehl, Leo (Judy) Riehl, Steven (Beverly) Riehl, Louis Riehl, Patricia Riehl, Gloria Riehl, Arlene Riehl and Mark Stapel; many relatives and friends.
    Preceded in death by two infant sisters; mother and father-in-law, Jim and Rose Riehl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Paul (Lois), Gerald, Leonard, Wesley, Leslie, Dan Lee, Thomas, Keith Riehl, Sharon Stapel and Norbert Fuhrmann.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. and will continue on Friday, December 13, 2013 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Center from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Suhr and Rev. Micah Martin officiating. Burial in the Bovina Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
    A special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph's Residence in New London, Dr. Goggins and his staff and Affinity Hospice for all their special care and concern.
    Jerry had a real interest in people. If you didn't know Jerry, he knew you. He had a gift of talk. You will never be forgotten and your memory will be cherished forever.
