    VanLanen, ClaytonClayton VanLanen, 82, Sobieski, died peacefully Wednesday evening, Apr il 6, 2005, surrounded by his family at Woodland Village, Oconto. The s on of the late John and Nellie (Van Duerzen) VanLanen was born Jan. 10, 19 23, in Wrightstown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. On Nov. 1 3, 1943, he married June Warshall in Chase. Clayton had been employed at t he Red Owl Warehouse in Green Bay for 25 years. He and June also owned a nd operated VanLanen's Bar in Sobieski for 40 years. He enjoyed going to t he reunions of his army unit, the 602nd Engineers. Clayton loved fishin g, hunting, and he especially loved socializing, and being with people.Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Wanda VanLan en, Russell VanLanen, all of Orlando, Fla.; David VanLanen, Sobieski; Dona ld VanLanen, Stiles; Jeffrey and Peggy VanLanen, Little Suamico; seven gra ndchildren, John C. (Lori) Kobylarczyk, Brandon and Jennifer VanLanen, Amb er, Kyle, Cody and Kailey VanLanen; one great-grandson, Justin Kobylarczy k; two sisters, Rita Vincent, Chase; Margie Kuss, Little Suamico; speci al friends, John and Marie Kobylarczyk, Long Lake; nieces, nephews, oth er relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, June, in 1986; one daughter, Virgin ia Kobylarczyk in 1971; six brothers, Cyril, Sylvester, Adrian, Ed, Joe, a nd John Jr.; three sisters, Esther, Bertha and Dorothy.Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunda y. Parish Wake Service 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues after 9 a.m. Mond ay at St. John Cantius Church, Sobieski.     Russell F. "Russ" Van Lanen, Taft, Fla. and formerly of Sobieski, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009, in Florida as the result of a motorcycle-deer accident. He left us doing what he loved doing best, riding his Harley on a sunny day. Russ was a very caring and generous person.
    He was born May 29, 1952, in Green Bay. Russ was a 1970 graduate of Pulaski High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a longtime member of the Teamsters Local 385, Orlando. Russ enjoyed deer hunting. He spent time living in both Florida and Wisconsin.
    He is survived by his brothers, Richard (Wanda) Van Lanen, Orlando; Dave Van Lanen, Sobieski; Jeff (Peggy) Van Lanen, Little Suamico; a brother-in-law, John Kobylarczyk and his wife, Marie, Long Lake; nieces and nephews, Johnnie Kobylarczyk, Brandon and Jennifer Van Lanen, and Amber, Kyle, Cody and Kailey Van Lanen; other relatives and many friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and June (Warshall) Van Lanen; a sister, Ginny Kobylarczyk; and a brother, Donnie Van Lanen.
    Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26. Visitation continues after 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Sobieski. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, Fr. Gerald Prusakowski, O.F.M. presiding with burial in St. John Cantius Cemetery.
