    Obituary:
    Elmer William Kunstman, 85, Appleton, surrounded by his loving family, departed Brewster Village on Saturday evening, Dec. 6, 2008, to be with God in his eternal home. He was born on Nov. 7, 1923, in Seymour, Wis., to Henry and Laura (Snell) Kunstman. Growing up, he excelled in many sports, especially basketball and track. He was a combat veteran of World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
    He retired after 34 years from the U.S. Postal Service. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church for many years where he was a Boy Scout leader of Boy Scout Troop 73. He also was an usher and worked in the Sunday School office. Before Alzheimer's took his memory, Elmer was a generous, gentle man and a friend to all. He always held his hand out in greeting.
    He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Frailing) Kunstman; sons, Steven (Julie) Kunstman, Combined Locks; Dr. James Kunstman, Kansas City, Kan.; Dr. Thomas (Dr. Sheila Ling) Kunstman, Boulder, Colo.; Dr. David (Shannon) Kunstman, Madison; grandchildren, Ann (Jon) Robbins, John Kunstman, Christy (Dave) Gott, Matthew (Brooke) Kunstman, Michael Kunstman, Justin, Ben, and Emma Kunstman, Ella, Sophia and Joshua Kunstman; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Leonard (Carol) Kunstman and Donald (Joyce) Kunstman; sister-in-law, Kathryn Kunstman.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harvey Kunstman.
    A Celebration of Elmer's life will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at Faith Lutheran Church (601 E. Glendale) Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
    In lieu of flowers, Elmer's family has established memorial funds in Elmer's name.
    The family will always be thankful that Elmer was fortunate to spend his final years as a resident of Brewster Village, Cedars Wing. The staff cared for him with love and compassion. Their dedication vastly exceeded our expectations and we will be grateful for their friendship forever.

    Donald Charles (Hank) Kunstman, age 82, of Kimberly,passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Manor Care. Don was born on April 12, 1932, son of the late Henry and Laura Kunstman. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1951. Shortly after returning from the army he married Joyce Burton on November 13, 1954. Don enjoyed his work on the paper machines at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for nearly 40 years, making him part of the Quarter Century club, retiring in 1994.
    Don loved sports; playing basketball in high school, and baseball in the Army and softball. He was also an avid Packer, Brewer, Badger, Cubs, and Papermakers fan. Don had a great appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying bowling, golfing, pheasant hunting, and fishing. Above all, Don cherished the time spent with his friends and family and all the special little ones that Don and Joyce cared for through the years.
    Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce and their son Don and his wife Cindy. He will also be missed by his grandchildren: Jeremiah (Kathryn), Kim, Matthew (Rebekah); his great grandchildren: Logan, Madelyn, Maxwell, Miles, Annabel, Nicolas, Alexander, Elijah, and Raegyn; his brother: Leonard (Carol); sisters-in-law: Marilyn Kunstman and Ila Mae Ritchie. Don is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and very special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Harvey and Elmer.
    The memorial service for Don will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at MEMORIAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 803 East College Ave., with Rev. Michael Goodwin officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Don will be buried at Highland Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichamannfargo.com.

    Lorraine M. (Snell) Vanden Bloomer, Appleton, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 21, 2007. She was born in Appleton on March 8, 1929, daughter of the late Lester and Hilda Snell. Lorraine loved going out for coffee and being with her friends. She was a devoted and lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Appleton.
    Lorraine is survived by her son: Danny (Sheryl) Snell of Appleton; grandchildren: Tammy (Scott) Van Linn of Appleton and their children: Sebastian and Aspen; Jesi Brey of Appleton and her children: Tayler and Jordan; Jeff Snell of Eden Prairie, MN; brother, Norman Snell; sisters: Phyllis (Earl) Springstroh, Lois Jean (Carlton) Tiedt, Janice (Wayne) Seegers, Doris Felzer, Susan (John) Hinchley and Diane Bowers; brother-in-law, Terry Howard; and many other nieces and nephews.

    The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 302 N. Morrison St., Appleton, with Rev. John C. Baumann and Rev. Ralph C. Waack officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

    MarJean M. Schroeder, age 80, of Greenville, passed into the loving care of her gracious Lord on Monday, February 14, 2011, at Heartwood Homes in Appleton. She was born on August 6, 1930, in New London, daughter of the late Harry & Hilda (Doell) Schroeder. On June 21, 1952, she was united in marriage to Harland Schroeder at Bethany Lutheran Church in Appleton. Prior to her marriage, MarJean worked at Wisconsin Telephone and AT&T. After her marriage, she and her husband farmed for 8 years and she also worked at Hortonville Canning Company, Louie's Supper Club, and she retired from Zaugs Vending in 1994 following 26 years of service. MarJean enjoyed traveling, fishing, sewing, cooking, gardening, playing cards, bowling and going out for breakfast with friends.
    She is survived by her husband, Harland. A daughter, Karen (Joe) Berken, Combined Locks. A son, Rick (Becky) Schroeder, Fond du Lac. Eight grandchildren, Josh (Jen) Berken, Heather (Mike) Geer, Nick (Jen) Berken, Steph Berken, Ryan Schroeder, Nikki Schroeder, Jared Schroeder, Eric Schroeder. Five great-grandchildren, Ariana Juarez, Finley Berken, Ava Geer, Kai Berken, Harlow Berken. Two sisters-in-law, Marion Schroeder and Delores Schroeder. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
    Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and Ronald Schroeder, and nephew, Jack Schroeder. Mother and Father in-law, Elmer and Mabel Schroeder, and sister-in-law, Ruby Schroeder.
    The funeral service for MarJean will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. David Scharf officiating. Entombment will be in the Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum in Appleton at 1:45 p.m on Thursday. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heartwood Homes, Appleton, Esara Hospice of Green Bay.

Attending to his birds and watching them right outsi de his window entertained and humored him.His love of sports started with his own children and then turned to the Ba dgers and Packers. He could hardly wait to see Brian Butch play Badger ba ll next year.His children are a tribute to him, and he nurtured them along the wa y. If he could he would tell them how very proud he was of them. Thirty-o ne years of marriage was a time of sharing, caring and taking care of o ne another. Family vacations taught him much about his family and will rem ain some of our most cherished memories.Jack's optimism influenced many and for that we remember him as the kin d, honest and loving person he was. His Christian values provided comfo rt in times of need and when there were no answers. He watched his childr en grow in faith and knew he provided the one thing needful. We say good-b ye to a man whose life epitomized simplicity, contentment, love of fami ly and life itself.Survivors include his wife, Caroline A. (Presteen) Schroeder; two childre n, Christina M. Schroeder, Madison; Bradley A. Schroeder, Waukesha; his mo ther, Delores Schroeder, Green-ville; three sisters, Susan Drews (Larry Sw afford), Janis (Rick) Bartel and Lori Schroeder; two sisters-in-law, Dia ne (Tom) Pompa and Nancy (Peter) Butch; three nieces and a nephew, Aman da (Peter) Huycke, Katherine (Nathan) Wynveen, Brian and Laura Butch.He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald L. Schroeder, February 2 8, 2002, and his grandparents, Harry and Hilda Schroeder and Roy and Els ie Bastian.Funeral services for Jon will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 200 4, at ST. PETER EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6601 North French Road, with Revere nd Ronald Ash officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Pa rk. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m., Monday and on Tues day at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial f und is being established.God must have loved him very much to have taken him from us who loved a nd needed him. He summoned an angel to gather a few of the sweetest blooms .Then he carried them back to heaven Where they never would wither and di e, But live on forever, rejoicing in His wonderful garden on high.
