    Obituary:
    Dan Wildenberg, 80, Combined Locks, died unexpectedly in Florida on Friday, March 27, 2009. He was born on June 5, 1928, in Kimberly, the son of the late William and Rosanna (Williams) Wildenberg. On Nov. 4, 1950, he married Caroline "Carol" Koehler at St. Mel's Catholic Church in Chicago. Dan served his country in the U.S. Marines. He started out as a tree trimmer in his earlier years. Dan was a member of the Bricklayer Union #9. He was employed as a superintendent at Stebbins Engineering and later a project manager at Ballard Engineering, retiring in 1993.
    Dan was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Jacob Coppus Post 258 and VFW Post 10544 of Little Chute, and a charter member of the Fox Valley Golf Course. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and many will remember the projects he made in his shop for them.
    Dan is survived by his children, Dan (Karen) Wildenberg, Washougal, Wash.; Ellen (Roger) Garner, Oakfield, Wis.; Wendy (Rick) Fulcer, Combined Locks; Kelly (Loretta) Wildenberg, Ogdensburg; and Rocky (Lynn) Wildenberg, Appleton; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Tyler, Marcus, Ashly, Katie, Bill, Tracy and Cody; great-grandchildren, Jada, Brady, Mason, Ali and "baby Fulcer"; and sister-in-law, Lori Phillips, Combined Locks. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Wildenberg; sister, Elaine Merrill; and brother, Bill Wildenberg.
    The funeral liturgy for Dan will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks, followed by military honors. Father Jim Lucas will be officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
    Special thanks to his girls at Countryside and Dr. Hornseth's office who always made our dad feel special. Also, the girls at Sundial Apartments in Florida, who made his second home so enjoyable.
