    Loretta Steffens, 99, of Seymour, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Loretta began her journey on Earth February 13, 1914. She was born in Isaar, WI, the daughter of the late Joseph and Francis (Duffeck) Linsmeyer. She was united in marriage on January 4, 1939 to the late Paul Steffens and they shared 33 years of their lives together.
    Loretta and Paul raised their family on their farm until retiring in 1972. They were longtime members of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom.
    Loretta was a phenomenal cook, baker, and gardener. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and spending time with her family.
    Loretta's survivors include her children: Norbert (Ruth), Norman (Mary), Jerry (Dawn), Donna, Marie, and Rich (Linda); her sister Margaret Linsmeyer; 22 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; daughters Irene and Shirley; her son Joseph; her brothers: Leonard, Edward, Frank, and Joseph; and her sisters: Elsie, Ida, Mary, and Mathilda; nieces and nephews; and other in-laws.
    Friends and family may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 10 am until the funeral mass at 12 noon with Fr. Dan Felton officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Margaret Linsmeyer, 100, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Rennes Health and Rehab.
    Margaret was born on January 4, 1917 to Joseph and Frances (Duffek) Linsmeyer in Seymour. She worked for Appleton Papers for 35 years before retiring in 1980. Margaret was always walking and loved gardening. She enjoyed traveling with her great niece and her family. Margaret loved watching her great great nephews, they were her pride and joy. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and was deeply religious.
    Margaret is survived by her great niece Barb (Dan) Carpenter and their children Zach, Adam and Tyler, Sister-in-law Jane Linsmeyer, and special friends Gloria and Larry Nelson, other relatives and friends.
    Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Frank (Jean) Linsmeyer, Joseph (Theresa) Linsmeyer, Loretta (Paul) Steffens, Matilda (John) Hermes, Leonard Linsmeyer, Edward Linsmeyer, Ida (Norman) Kemkes, Elise Linsmeyer and Mary Linsmeyer, a special cousin Lorraine McCarthy and her cat Fluffy.
    The funeral service for Margaret will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1:30 PM at the STAR OF HOPE CHAPEL AT HIGHLAND MEMORIAL PARK, 3131 N. Richmond St. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.

    Mathilda "Tillie" A. Hermus, 92, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Meadow Wood Assisted Living. She was born July 29, 1920 daughter of the late Joseph and Francis (Duffey) Linsmeyer. On June 18, 1949 she was united in marriage to John Hermus at St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour. They have been blessed with 63 wonderful happy years together.
    She and her husband farmed at route 3 Seymour until their retirement in September of 1981. They then moved to Seymour and presently resides at Meadow Wood.
    Tillie was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida and a member of the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed her flowers, garden, playing cards, search and find puzzles, traveling, going to their cottage in Townsend, fishing, boating and swimming. She loved her family very much.
    Survivors include her husband John; children: Kathleen (Roger) Kerkhoff, Mary Brocker, Sherry (Vaughn) Wilkinson, Ron (Cindy) Hermus, John Jr. (Debbie) Hermus, Mark Hermus (special friend Diane), Lee Hermus, James (Sandy) Hermus, Gene (Lori) Hermus; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters: Loretta Steffens, Margaret Linsmeyer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Jane Linsmeyer, Rose (Harold) Hendricks, Evelyn Hermus and Antonette Van Handel.

    Steffens, Joseph P.Joseph P. Steffens, age 57, N5220 Mullen Road, Seymour passed away Frid ay evening April 2, 2004, at Appleton Medical Center following a courageo us battle with cancer. He was born October 23, 1946, in Green Bay son of L oretta (Linsmeyer) Steffens and the late Paul Steffens. On April 15, 197 2, he was united in marriage to Lorraine VanHandle in Little Chute.Joe was a graduate of Seymour High School, and farmed in the town of Bla ck Creek which he loved and enjoyed. He also enjoyed watching his childr en show cattle at the Outagamie Co. Fair, deer hunting, fishing, flying, f ixing machinery and especially planting straight corn rows. He was a memb er of St. Nicholas Church in Freedom.Survivors include his wife Lorraine, his children Joe Jr. (Mary) Steffen s, Appleton; Steve Steffens, Seymour; Tim Steffens, Milwaukee; Dan Steffe ns and Vicky Steffens of Seymour.     Donna (Steffens) Bauman, 66, of Black Creek, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at her home. She was born August 14, 1949, daughter of the late Paul and Loretta (Linsmeyer) Steffens.
    Donna was a 1967 graduate of Seymour High School. She was employed with Kaukauna Club Cheese for many years. Donna enjoyed traveling, fishing, and horses especially in her younger years.
    She is survived by her siblings: Norbert (Ruth) Steffens, Norman (Mary) Steffens, Jerry (Dawn) Steffens, Marie Soffa and Rich (Linda) Steffens; sister-in-law, Lorraine Steffens; many nieces and nephews.
    Donna was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene and twin sister, Shirley and one brother, Joseph.

    Mary "Mar" L. Brocker, 61, of Seymour, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday morning, October 18, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born April 29, 1953, daughter of the late John and Mathilda "Tillie" (Linsmeyer) Hermus in Green Bay.
    Mary was born into a large farming family and had over 100 cousins. She carried her hard work ethic with her to Chilton (Globe) Toys where she was dedicated for over 25 years. She passionately served as the President for the Local Union 7724, working to better protect her fellow co-workers with the help of State Representatives.
    She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida where she also served as a teacher for many years. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the family cottage in Townsend. She loved oldies and country music, swimming and creating loving relationships with her patients as she served as a CNA.
    Mary is survived by her son, James (Rebecca Pingel) Brocker, and their children: Jerzy, Jozlyn and Jameson, of Shawano; daughter, Crystal (Charles) Meltz and their children: Justine and Jadynn, of Seymour; siblings: Kathleen (Roger) Kerkhoff, Sherry (Vaughn) Wilkinson, Ron (Cindy) Hermus, John Jr. (Debbie) Hermus, Mark Hermus, Lee Hermus, James (Sandy) Hermus, Gene (Lori) Hermus; godchild, Jason Wilkinson; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; special friend and father of her children, Mel Brocker; aunts and uncles: Rose (Harold) Hendricks, Evelyn Hermus, Ed Klarner, Margaret Linsmeyer and Jane Linsmeyer; her special dog and baby, Holly.
