    Age 75, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Monday after a brief illness. He was born March 16, 1898 in Appleton. He was employed by the Verkuilen Furniture and Funeral Home. He was a member of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association. He is survive d by his wife Loretta; two daughters, Mrs. Merrill (June) Potter, Appleton and MRs. Vern (Helen) Dewey, Clintonville; four sons, Donald, Little Chute, Raymond, Appleton, Gerald, kimberly and John, Appleton; a brother George, Appleton; a sister, Mr s. Ella Otto, Appleton; twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren A son Gordon preceded him in death in June of 1963 and a granddaughter, Ellen, in June of 1972. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wedn esday from St. John Catholic church, Little Chute with Rev. Norbert Vande Loo officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute, after 3 p.m. Tuesday. There will be a prayer servic e at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

    Dewey, Helen J.
    Helen J. Dewey, age 84, formerly of the Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at the Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass. Helen was born on September 7, 1923, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Alex and Loretta (Deltgen) Johnson-Mignon. On August 28, 1943, she was united in marriage to Vernon Dewey in Appleton where the couple continued to live. Helen later worked at Tony Wonders Supper Club, Little Chute. From 1958 until 1968, together the couple owned and operated the Do-We Grill, Appleton. In May of 1968 the couple moved to the Cloverleaf Lakes, Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County where they owned and operated the Rustic Resort for many years. Vernon preceded his wife in death on July 20, 1994.
    Helen was a member of the United Methodist Church, Clintonville. She loved her dogs and her hobbies included crocheting afghans for the Veterans in King, WI, reading, and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
    Survivors include her daughter Barbara (Lawrence) Schewe, Greenville; three sons: Thomas (Special Friend: Jane Lewin) Dewey, Steven (Diane) Dewey, Appleton and David "Razz" (Chris) Dewey, Clintonville; eight grandchildren: Deanna Keaney, MA, Lisa (John) Daniels, Brian (Sara) Schewe, Greenville, Jennifer (Casey) Barry, Menasha; Kelly (Special Friend: Jason Wix) Dewey, Appleton; Ted Druckrey (Special Friend: Tracy Kosciesza), Clintonville; Stephanie (Scott) Tomashek, Shawano; Amy Druckrey, Embarrass; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Gerald (Bernie) Mignon, Kimberly; Jack (Janet) Mignon, Appleton; Raymond "Hap" Mignon, Little Chute; her sister-in-law, Alice Mignon, Little Chute; her brother-in-law: Merrill Potter, Appleton.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon, a son, Richard, her sister, June, and two brothers: Gordon and Donald.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the United Methodist Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Roberta Thomson officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m., Friday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home, Clintonville, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of the service.

    Gerald "Jerry" W. Mignon, age 88, of Kimberly passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18th after a brief illness at St. Elizabeth Hospital with his family at his side. Jerry was born December 5th, 1928 in Appleton to the late Alex and Loretta Mignon. He grew up in Little Chute and graduated from St. John's High School before joining the service. He served in the United States Army for four years from 1949 to 1952. Upon his return, he married Bernardine Vander Wielen on April 18th, 1953. They lived and raised a family in Kimberly. In 2017 they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Jerry was a printer by trade, working at Winnebago Color Press in Menasha for most of his career.
    Jerry is remembered by all who love him for his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved his family, golf, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, table games, woodworking and relaxing at the lake cottage. Among Jerry's favorite pastimes in his younger days was bowling, with a record 700 series. He shared his love of fishing by teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish at the lake.
    He is survived by his loving wife Bernie, daughters Karen (fiancé Lins) Siebers and Gail (Greg) Johnson. Grandpa will be missed by his grandchildren: Kelly (Josh) Jansen, stepson Will, Andy (Alisha) Siebers, Robert (Grace) Johnson, Meg (fiancé Courtis) Johnson and Alec Johnson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jan Mignon, sisters and brothers-in-law Aggie, Pat, Ceil and Tom (LouAnn) on Bernie's side of the family, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
    Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter Ellen, his parents Alex and Loretta Mignon, his mother and father-in-law, Johanna and Anthony Vander Wielen, his siblings Gordy (Rosie), June (Merrill), Helen (Vernon), Don (Alice), Raymond "Hap" (Elaine "Sweets") and Jack, also brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie (Gert), Bert (Art), Jim, Joe and Marge.
    The Funeral Liturgy for Jerry will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - KIMBERLY SITE, 600 East Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, with Father Bob Kollath officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
    The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Affinity Medical Clinic and St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.

    Mignon, John "Jack" - Jack Mignon, 78, Appleton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Appleton on Oct. 6, 1931, son of the late Alex and Loretta (Deltgen) Mignon. Upon graduation from St. John's High School in Little Chute, he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. Jack was employed by Miller Electric for 38 years before retiring in 1994. Jack was a member of St. Joseph's Parish. In his retirement Jack spent many hours pursuing his passion of golf and would find any reason to hit the links, especially with his buddy Cliff. He also enjoyed his time volunteering at St. Joe's Food Pantry. He was an avid sports fan and reader.
    Jack is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jannette; four children: John (Cate), Jane (Rollie) Hansen, Jim (Laurie), and Jodi; seven grandchildren: Christopher and Katie Hansen, Alex, Allison and Kari Mignon, and Emily and Sadie Mignon; a brother Jerry (Bernie); a sister-in-law Alice; a brother-in-law Bill (Terri) West; a sister-in-law Mary Helen (Ken) Walbrun; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
    He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gordon, Donald, and Raymond (Hap); and two sisters, June Potter and Helen Dewey.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of Mass on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for St. Joe's Food Pantry has been established in Jack's name.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Lewandowski, Dr. Lauren Bellg, Dr. John Swanson, the wonderful staff on the 2nd & 3rd floors at Appleton Medical Center; and especially the hospice care unit for all of their help, care, and concern.
