    Francis E. Rentmeester, 92, Allouez resident, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at the Jack and Engrid Meng Unity Hospice residence. He was born Feb. 12, 1919 ,in Green Bay, to the late Peter and Kate (Heyrman) Rentmeester. Francis served in the U.S. Army during WWII from Aug. of 1941, until his honorable discharge in July of 1945. While serving his country, Francis received numerous commendations. He married the former Elizabeth Coenen on Sept. 2, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in De Pere.
    Francis was self-employed as a homebuilder in Brown County and Sarasota County, Fla., until his retirement. He volunteered his time and talents at St. Vincent DePaul Society in Sarasota, and enjoyed fishing in Florida every day he was there. His green thumb led to bountiful gardens in Green Bay and Florida as well as numerous fruit trees. He may be most remembered for his booyah making skill. He loved preparing and cooking and then inviting everyone over to share in his labors. When it came to booyah, Francis was the Master. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish for many years as well as St. Martha's Parish in Sarasota.
    He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; and their six children, Carol (Wes) DeGrand,Grace (Glen) Gore, all of Green Bay; Gloria (Rod) MacDonald, Lakeland, Fla.; Janet (Beaver) Miller, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Wayne (Jane) Rentmeester, Sarasota, Fla.; and Paul (Lori) Rentmeester, Green Bay; 21 grandchildren, Jason (Steph) Coisman, Chris (Rhonda) Coisman, Amber Coisman, Tyler DeGrand and fiancee, Ellen, Gina (Mike) Jensen, Geri (Danny) Greene, Greg Gore, Ashley Miller and Oscar, Tiffany Miller and Cory, Danielle (Mark) Niefeld, Jacqui Rentmeester, Jon Rentmeester, Madeline Rentmeester, Jesse, Jamie, Jerod and Janielle MacDonald, Missy (Dave) Hageness, Nicole Rentmeester, Matt Rentmeester and Shawn Rentmeester; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin (Myrtle) Rentmeester and Fabian (Enola) Rentmeester, all Green Bay; two brothers-in-law, Harold (Nancy) Coenen, Appleton; Gerald Coenen, Little Chute.
    He was preceded in death by one son, Dale Rentmeester; two brothers, Clem Rentmeester and Ralph Rentmeester; one brother-in-law, Clarence Coenen; two sisters-in-law, Rita Coenen and Eunice Coenen; and Elizabeth's parents, Henry and Mary Coenen.
    Friends may call at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, corner of Cass and Irwin Sts., after 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Larry Canavera officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.     In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Francis' memory.
    Francis' family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Unity Hospice, the doctor's, nurses and staff of St. Vincent Hospital and his very special home caregivers, Deb, Barb, Cathy, Cordy and a special thank you to his daughter-in-law, Jane. Their care and consideration will always be remembered.

    Obituary:
    Ralph R. Rentmeester, 78, Green Bay, passed away at a local nursing home on Tuesday, July 12, 2005. Ralph was born May 15, 1927, in Green Bay, to the late Peter and Katie (Heyrman) Rentmeester. On September 29, 1951, he married Theresa Lois Willette in Green Bay. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954, and received an honorable discharge. He was a paper machine operator for Green Bay Packaging, retiring after 40 years of service.
    Ralph is survived by his wife, Theresa Lois; one son, Dennis ?Russ? (Arlene) and their children, Christopher and fiancee (Dawn Williams); and Adam Rentmeester, Green Bay; one daughter, Debra (Ernie) Boucher, and their son, Ernest Boucher, Appleton; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Rentmeester; two step-grandchildren, Shauna Hoffmann, Green Bay; Erika Hoffmann, Milwaukee; three brothers, Fabian (Enola), Francis (Betty), Marvin (Myrtle) Rentmeester, all of Green Bay.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Clem.
    The family will receive friends at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Howard-Suamico Location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Wednesday, July 20, for a memorial visitation from 5 until 7 p.m. Memorial Service at 7 p.m. Wed., at the funeral home, with Msgr. Brian P. Coleman officiating. Military Honors to follow. Interment in Fort Howard Memorial Park. Michael H. Pfotenhauer, Funeral Director.

    David G. Rentmeester, 55, Green Bay resident, died Friday, August 11, 200 6. He was born October 1, 1950, in Green Bay to Almira A. Rentmeester a nd the late Gordon Rentmeester. David is a graduate of Preble High Schoo l. On July 3, 1971, he married Barbara King at St. Willebrord Catholic Chu rch. They recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. David was em ployed as a papermaker at Procter & Gamble Paper for 32 years. He was a me mber of the International Papermakers Union. David was a volunteer at t he Green Bay Botanical Gardens; a member of Green Bay Area Great Lakes Spo rts Fisherman's Club, working numerous projects, including Special Olympic s. Above all else, David enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, tra veling (especially to Las Vegas) and beating Mom at cribbage. He also lov ed fishing, woodworking projects and gardening.
    Survivors include his wife Barbara; his mother Almira, Green Bay; son To dd (Tammy) Rentmeester, Luxemburg; daughter Kristen (Jack) Le Roy, Luxembu rg; five grandchildren: Paige Rentmeester, Andy, Cerra, Trevor, and Jac ob Le Roy. He is further survived by three brothers, Lee (Bonnie) Rentmees ter, Rhinelander; Chuck (Dianne) Rentmeester, New Franken; Gary (Sharon) R entmeester, Green Bay; one sister, Kathleen (Gordon) Aldrich, Cheboygan, M ichigan; one sister-in-law Roberta (Ray) Pataconi.
    He was preceded in death by his father Gordon; his stepfather, Le Roy Bowe rs, and his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Marie King.
    Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Tuesd ay from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. K enneth De Groot officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online c ondolences can be sent to the Rentmeester Family at www.prokowall.com.
