    George Rooyakkers, 117 N. Elm St., Kimberly
    Age 79, passed away unexpectedly at 5:50 Thursday afternoon. He was born March 25, 1894 in Holland and had been a resident of Kimberly for the past 63 years. Mr. Rooyakkers was a former village policeman in Kimberly, a member of the Golden Agers, and a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Name Church, Kimberly. Survivors include his wife, Cecilia; four daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Cora) Ulman, Appleton, Mrs. Ray (Theresa) Bongers, Little Chute, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Van Lanen, Kimberly, and Mrs. Ray (Cecilia) Mc Cormick, Darboy; seven sons, Peter, Detroit, Michigan, Henry, Anthony, and Everett, all of Kimberly, George, Hollandtown, Francis and Leo, both of Darboy; 41 grandchildrer; and 11 great-grandchildren. A son, Paul, and an infant daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday at Holy Name Church, Kimberly, with Rev. Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, Kimberly, after 3 p.m. Friday. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday. A memorial fund has been established.

    Henry J. Rooyakkers, 213 S. Sidney, Kimberly Age 82, died peacefully surrounded by his fami ly on Thursday, January 9, 1919, in Kimberly, son of the late George and C ecilia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. On November 15, 1941, he married the form er Joan Gmeiner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. Henry serv ed in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and received an honorab le discharge in 1945. He worked for Kimberly-Clark for 34 years and w as a member of their Quarter Century Club and the Management Club. Henry w as also a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer, enjo yed traveling and playing cards with his children and grandchildre n. He is survived by his wife, Joan; their four children, Tom (Florence ), Phelps, Wisconsin; Barb (Ken) Freeman, Green Bay; Karen (Mike) Winiu s, Appleton; Jim (Pat), Appleton; 13 grandchildren, Kim (Dan) Van Sambee k, Tim (Paula), Tom (Nicole), Bill (Adrianna) and Matt Rooyakkers; Jill (D arin) Kiester, Vicki (Larry) Talapa; Michael (Traci) Winius, Michelle (Jas on) Sagorac, Kara Winius; Jeff, Nick and Jenny Rooyakkers; 15 great-grandc hildren; three brothers, George (Audrey) Rooyakkers, Hollandtown; Evere tt and Leo Rooyakkers, both of Appleton; four sisters, Cora Ulman, Appleto n; Mary (Dick) Van Lanen, Mountain, Wisconsin; Theresa (Ray) Bongers, Litt le Chute; Ceil (Ray) McCormick, Appleton. The funeral liturgy wi ll be 5 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2001, at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Kimbe rly, the Rev. Dennis Bergsbaken and Robert J. Vandenberg co-officiating. F riends may call directly at the church on Monday from 3 p.m. until the ti me of Mass. Military honors will follow the liturgy. The family would li ke to thank the entire staff of Parkside Care Center for the extraordina ry care given to Henry during his stay.

    Cora M Ulmen, of Kimberly, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at St. Paul Elder Hospice Services. Cora was born January 25, 1925, at home in Bear Creek, WI, daughter of the late George and Cecilia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. Cora was united in marriage with Carlton Ulmen at Holy Name Church in Kimberly on September 7, 1946. Carlton preceded Cora in death on October 22, 1996.
    Cora was a charter member of St. Bernadette's Church in Appleton and a member of the Rosary Society. Cora waitressed, worked as "Rosie the Riveter", and was employed at the Wire Works prior to her marriage to Carlton. Cora enjoyed being a Cub Scout Den Mother, her TOPS weight club, her prayer circle, bicycling, walking, traveling with family, reading, playing cards, saying the rosary, and she especially enjoyed entertaining and visiting family and many friends.
    Survivors include her children: Jeffrey (Paula) Ulmen, Darboy, David (Christine) Ulmen, New Berlin, George (Barbara) Ulmen, Combined Locks, Rosemarie Coleman, Green Bay, Kathy Zink (Appleton), Susan (Steven) Reuter, Menasha, Luann Ulmen, Appleton, and Chuck (Kelly) Ulmen, Neenah; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Theresa Bongers and Ceil (Ray) McCormick; one brother, Leo Rooyakkers (special friend Kathy Bates); seven sisters-in-law: Lucille Endter, Alice Smith, Helen Rooyakkers, Ethyl (Maury) Brockman, Audrey Rooyakkers, Mary Kay Rooyakkers, and Mary Jo Rooyakkers; and her many friends, old and new.
    She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Peter, Henry (Joann), Tony, Paul, George, Francis, and Everett (Marge); two sisters, Mary (Dick) VanLanen and Bernadette Rooyakkers; four brothers-in-law, Floyd Ulmen, Howard Endter, Ray Bongers, and Herbert "Red" Smith; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Lawrence) Kugler and Evelyn Westgor; and one son-in-law, Keith Coleman.
    The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH (2331 E. Lourdes St.) at 1:30 PM with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.

    Theresa M. Bongers, Little Chute, age 85, died Wednesday September 5, 2012 at the St. Paul Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Kimberly on September 30, 1926 to the late George and Cecelia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. Theresa married Raymond H. Bongers at Holy Name Parish on May 29, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2004 after 56 years of marriage. Theresa enjoyed antiquing and refinishing furniture and picture frames. She was an excellent cook and baker and in her younger years, enjoyed bowling and golfing. Theresa was a member of St. John Parish. A proud grandmother, she cherished time spent with her family.
    Theresa is survived by her children: Paul (Margie) of Neenah; and Christie (Bill) Wydeven of Little Chute; grandchildren: Gina and Scott Vandenberg; step grandchildren: Bryan (Kari) and Sean (friend Amy) Vindhurst, Kim (Randy) Narbatovics and Kristy (friend Tracie) and Bill (Heather) Wydeven; step great grandchildren: Brandon, Christian and Natalie; brother and sister: Leo (friend Kathy) Rooyakkers and Ceil (Ray) McCormick; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Ethel (Maury) Brockman, Helen, Audrey, Mary Kay and Mary Jo Rooyakkers, Bob Bongers and Verona Olson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to her husband and parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Peter, Everett (Marge), Paul, Henry (JoAnn), Tony, Francis, George and Bernadette Rooyakkers, Mary (Dick) Van Lanen and Carl (Cora) Ulmen. She is further preceded in death by Ray's siblings: Clarence (Marie), Ed (LaVerne), Rosemary (Don), Rich (Marie) and Ethel (Harry); and his in-laws: Rose and Don.

    Mary F. Van Lanen, Combined Locks, age 82, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at her home. She was born on April 27, 1928, in Kimberly to the late George and Cecilia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. Mary married Richard Van Lanen at Holy Name Church in Kimberly on September 6, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2006 after 58 years of marriage. Mary's hobbies included crafts, bingo, cards and traveling. She really enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, as well as her many friends and neighbors. Mary was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it.
    Mary is survived by her sons: Mark (Sue), De Pere; Guy (Cindy), Combined Locks; and Jack (Kay), Little Chute; grandchildren: Matt, Andy, Nick, Brett, Mike and Sam Van Lanen; siblings: Cora Ulmen, Theresa Bongers, Ceil (Ray) Mc Cormick, George (Audrey), Everett (Mary) and Leo Rooyakkers; brothers and sisters-in-law: Junior (Moe) Van Lanen, Delores Feldkamp, Vivian (Jack) Schaefer, Mary Jean Van Lanen, Helen Rooyakkers, Mary Jo Rooyakkers and Ethel (Maury) Brockman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    George A. Rooyakkers, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1931 in Appleton to the late George and Cecilia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. On April 28, 1952 he was united in marriage to Audrey B. Van Dyn Hoven at St. John Nepomocene Catholic Church in Little Chute and together they celebrated 58 loving years. The couple was blessed with six children. George was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was employed as an insurance agent with Northwestern Mutual Life for over 25 years until his retirement. He was a founding member of the Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce. He was a long-standing and active member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. George enjoyed golfing, traveling, wintering in Arizona, and especially time spent with family and friends.

    Everett A. Rooyakkers, Appleton, age 78, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. He was born November 25, 1932 to the late George and Cecilia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. On May 15, 1954, he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Lind, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly and together they celebrated 46 loving years. The couple was blessed with six children. Following Margaret's death on October 19, 2000, he was united in marriage to Mary Kay Krause on January 4, 2003.
    Everett was a US Army Veteran stationed in Norfolk, Virginia during the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. He was employed as a paper tester with Kimberly-Clark/Midtec in Kimberly for over 20 years prior to serving as a rural route mail carrier for the Appleton Post Office. He was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Appleton. Everett enjoyed traveling, woodworking, and gardening; he especially loved the simple things in life: long walks in the woods, holidays with family and friends, singing, music, and spirited conversation.

    Thomas F. Rooyakkers, Town of Harrison, age 74, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born on October 23, 1942 in Appleton to the late Henry and Joanne (Gmiener) Rooyakkers. Tom married Florence Van Handel, and they enjoyed 53 years together.
    Tom was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and be up north. He took many fishing trips to Lake Superior and Canada. Tom had land on Lac Vieux Desert for 40 years and was fortunate to have lived there for 20. In his younger years, he was a skilled athlete, running track and playing football and basketball. He played basketball at the collegiate level while attending Marquette University. He kept his love of sports throughout his life and enjoyed watching basketball, football and baseball. Tom was an usher at Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly, where he was a member. He retired from Northwestern Mutual Life after 30 years of service.
    Tom's greatest love was his grandchildren. He cherished spending time with them and was very proud of their accomplishments. They each spent many hours fishing with their grandpa.

    Keshena - Dennis T. Rooyakkers of Keshena, formerly Kaukauna, age 63 passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital of Green Bay. He was born March 7th, 1955 in Appleton to the late George A. Rooyakkers and Audrey (Van Dyn Hoven) Rooyakkers. On June 25th 1975 he was united in marriage to Susan K. Miller at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute and together they celebrated 43 loving years.
    He was employed as an agent with Northwestern Mutual Life for over 39 years. Dennis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time spent with family and friends.
    He will be sadly missed by his wife Sue and two children: Ryan (Hope), Eric (DeeAnn Zacharias) seven grandchildren: Sierra, Byron, Blake, Kaylee, Colton, Finley, and David. His three brothers and two sisters: Linda (Warren) Schneider, Diane (Budford) Gadow, Paul (Tammi), Alan (Julie) and Joe. Sisters and brothers-in-law: Linda (Larry) Mitchell, James (Sally Miller), Peggy (William) Hannen, Vickey (Rob Martzahl) Miller, Jan Vosters, Mary (Rene) Petit, Margie (Kurt Meyer) Bartles, Tom (Julie) Miller, Karla (Scott) Paulan, Kim (Ben) Charles; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
    Dennis was preceded in death by his son Bret Rooyakkers; parents, George and Audrey; father-in-law, Jerome Miller; brother-in-law and wife, Terry and Linda Miller.
    A life Celebration for Dennis will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 1000 Islands Environmental Center, 1000 Beaulieu Ct., Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Environmental Center from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to a cancer fund of your choice.     Rooyakkers, Bret F.Bret F. Rooyakkers, 22, Kaukauna, died unexpectedly on Friday February 2 7, 2004. Bret was born January 20, 1982 to Dennis and Susan (Miller) Rooya kkers in Appleton. He was a 2000 graduate of Kaukauna High School and w as presently attending UW Fox Valley. Bret was a former employee of the Pi zza Hut in Kaukauna and was currently assisting his father in the family b usiness. He was a theatrical enthusiast who had the ability to work all si des of a production. Bret was a good friend and confidant, who was lov ed by all who knew him. He was a moral and spiritual leader to his frien ds and family. Bret was a co-conspirator and helpful friend to anyone w ho needed him.He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Susan Rooyakkers, Kaukauna; t wo brothers: Ryan (Hope) Rooyakkers , Madison; Eric Rooyakkers (special fr iend Deanne), Kaukauna; his special niece, Sierra; maternal grandparent s, Jerome and Marie Miller, Kaukauna and paternal grandparents: George a nd Audrey Rooyakkers, Kimberly.
