Obituary:
Lois Rose Derga (Klapper), age 80, passed away with family at her side at Century Oaks Assisted Living on Thursday, May 25, 2017. She was born in Kunish, WI on April 13, 1937 to Frederick and Rosella (Giese) Klapper. She married Marvin James Derga on August 16, 1961 and they enjoyed 55 happy years together. In those years, they raised four daughters. Lois was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She later worked as a bus aide for Kobussen Buses bringing smiles to those with special needs in the Appleton Area School District for 15 years. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Lois enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a way of making holidays memorable and filled with tradition. She was loving and generous, and took great care to make sure she never missed a birthday or important milestones in the lives of her loved ones. She especially loved the time she spent with her children, and the moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her generosity extended beyond family to many causes, especially those that benefited children and veterans. Some of Lois's favorite pastimes were doing puzzles, reading, writing letters and poetry, bowling, playing cards, spending time at the family vacation home in Pickerel, WI and snowmobiling. She also loved traveling and went on many vacations with family to the U.P., Branson, New York, Niagara Falls, Colorado, Utah, and the Grand Canyon. She enjoyed gambling trips and special trips to Las Vegas and Tennessee with her husband and close friends.
She will be forever missed by her four daughters: Pamela (Rogelio) Ramirez, Jacqueline Foth, Jamie Derga, and Becky Derga. In addition, she will always be remembered by her 11 grandchildren: Nicole, Ericka (Michael), Tyler, Joshua (Rebecca), Marissa, Austyn, Hayleigh, Jessey, Caleb, Jonah, and Lindsey, along with her great-grandchildren Madelyn, Eleanor, and Owen, as well as her brother-in-law, Calvin Hageman, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Betty (Lowell) Tate and Grace Hageman, and her brother Donald (Janie), and a son-in-law Dennis Foth.
Funeral services will be held at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at 12:00 PM with a time of visitation at 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Lois was a caring, loving, and generous person. She will be forever missed by many. We love you, mom.
