    Obituary:
    Floyd Cottrell, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Brewster Village in Appleton. He was born on September 23, 1926 the son of the late Erwin and Inez Cottrell. In 1943 Floyd enlisted in the Navy and served our country during World War II on the USS Midway aircraft carrier, which protected the East Coast. He was united in marriage on July 26, 1947 to Elizabeth "Betty" Boehler at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Floyd was very active in the church, volunteering with Betty, ushering and also helping with various restoration projects. He owned Floyd V. Cottrell Plastering from 1965 until retiring and selling the business to his son in 1993. Floyd enjoyed traveling with Betty, and visiting their cottage up at Legend Lake, playing card games, watching his favorite television shows including the Packers and going out for dinner. Floyd enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
    Floyd is survived by his children: Michael (Mary Ellen) of Appleton, Bruce (Patty) of Green Bay, Jodi (Nick) Ulman of Appleton, and Randy (Mary Ann) of Appleton; his grandchildren: Sean (Jamie) Cottrell, Erin Cottrell, Jessica, Amy, and Melissa Cottrell, Casey (Dave) Rudey, Jason Ulman, Alli, Adam and Sarah Cottrell; great-grandchildren: James, Dillon, and Gabrielle; two sisters, June(Harland) Anderson of Appleton and Constance Joyce Peterson of Port Washington; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, Brothers: Edward, Clyde, Frank, Erwin Jr., and Gay.
    Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton; with Father David J. Funk OFM CAP officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. Private interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

    Obituary:
    Clyde Cottrell, age 77, of Oneida, passed away early Sunday morning October 2, 2005, at his home. He was born February 1, 1928, in Oneida, son of the late Erwin and Inez (DeGroot) Cottrell. On December 24, 1950, he married the former Dolores Janssen, and they shared 54 years of marriage together. Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Army having attained the rank of Sergeant in the Medical Corps. He was a self-employed plasterer, as well as owning and operating along with his wife the Main Street Restaurant in De Pere.
    Survivors include his wife, Dolores; his daughter Pam (Dennis); his three sons, Gary, Steve and his special friend Kerri, and Craig (Christine). Five grandchildren, Joshua (Cathy), Jeremiah, Courtney, Christopher, and Hannah. One great-granddaughter, Trinity, further survives. Clyde?s brother, Floyd (Betty), two sisters, Joyce Cottrell, June (Harland) Anderson, two sisters-in-law, Maxine Cottrell and Nona Cottrell. Clyde is further survived by Dolores family, Raymond (Joan) Janssen, Mary (Fred) Naud, Carol (Butch) Winkler, and Dolly Janssen. His many nieces, nephews, and friends further survive.
    He was preceded in death by four brothers, Isaiah, Edward, Erwin Jr., Frank, and Gay.
    Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere with the Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Oneida Methodist Church until time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev.     Michael Cottrell, age 68, left this world on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Brewster Village, following a four-year battle with many health issues, operations, and rehabs. He was born on July 12, 1949 to his parents Floyd V. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Boehler) Cottrell. Michael was a 1967 graduate of Xavier High School. On November 1, 1969 he married the love of his life Mary Ellen Cottrell (Loescher). Michael proudly served his country as a Satellite Communications Operator in the United States Navy from 1969-1977. He was employed for over 36 years as a Technical Data Administrator and/or Corporate Computer Application Trainer at FVTC, Plexus Corp., Michels Corp, and Air Wisconsin.
    Michael shared his knowledge of computers with his two sons, Sean and Erin. Led by Michael, while growing up, the Cottrell family enjoyed, countless hours of playing classic board games, reading fantasy fiction, going on trips to museums, and playing sports in their large back yard. Mike also enjoyed participating in bowling, golf, and baseball into his 50's. He was an avid reader of the Civil War, of Mysteries, and of True Crime novels. He loved gardening, concerts, antiquing, and WI trips with his wife, Mary.
    Michael will be terribly missed by Mary Ellen Cottrell (Loescher), his wife of 48 years. By his two sons: youngest, Erin Michael Cottrell and his eldest son, Sean Paul Gabriel (Jamie) Cottrell, and their children and families: James (Nikol) Diaz and children, Conor, James Jr. and Jace; Nickolas(Brandi) Barrie and children Kayden & Savanah; Dillon (Bethani) Cottrell and son Ryland; Gabrielle Cottrell.
    In addition, he is survived by his siblings: a brother Bruce (Patty) and nieces: Jessica (Ian) Hawkins, Amy Cottrell, and Melissa Cottrell (Jess Spitzer); a sister Jodi (Nick) Ulman, a niece, Casey (David) Rudey and son Luke and a nephew, Jason Ulman; and brother Randy (Mary Ann) Cottrell and nieces Ali Cottrell and Sarah Cottrell and nephew Adam Cottrell. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, friends, and previous co-workers.
    Michael, is also survived by his mother-in-Law, Connie Loescher; brothers-in-laws: Greg Loescher, William Loescher, and David (Jackie) Loescher and nephew Max and niece, Maddie Loescher; and Michael (Linda) Loescher.
    Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Elizabeth Cottrell; his father-in-Law, Richard Loescher; and brother-in-Law, Tim Loescher, and aunts and uncles.
    As Michael requested, there will not be a formal visitation, service, or burial, but rather a private celebration of life at a later date, with just the immediate family. In honor of Mike's memory, he wishes that you donate to thecharity of your choice or to the Outagamie Humane Society, as he had always been an avid cat-lover.
    Mike's family would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the wonderful care and dedicated service of both the Heartland Home Health Care & Hospice and Brewster Village throughout his long health journey. God bless you, each and every one!
    Michael, I loved you on the very first day we met: April Fool's Day, 1969! Whoever could resist such a handsome Hunk with long sideburns, in a Nehru jacket, with a pewter Peace medal & a hangy-down pipe, while he's all hunched over, intensely writing the great American novel?
