Peter J Gloudemans 1749 N Outagamie St. Appleton, age 68, died at 1045 am, Sat, Sept 26, 1992, following a short illness.
He was born March 23, 1924, in Little Chute and had been an Appleton resident since his marriage to Valeria A Fischer on Nov 30, 1946.
Prior to this time, he served with the US Navy for 34 months in the Pacific Theater.
Peter had been employed by American Can in Menasha for 35 years, retiring in 1982.
Mr. Gloudemans enjoyed carpentry and raising flowers, which filled his entire yard.
He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Valeria A Fischer Gloudemans, to whom he had been married for nearly 46 years; a daughter, Eileen Mannebach of Appleton; three sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Sheri Gloudemans, James and Sue Gloudemans, and Wayne and Julie Gloudemans, all of Appleton; nine grandchildren: Denise and James Gloudemans, Jason and Tara Mannebach; Todd, Paul, and Melissa Gloudemans, Craig and Curt Gloudemans; a great-grandson, Donovan Rusch; three brothers and sisters-in-law William and Florence Gloudemans, Richard and Jacqueline Gloudemans, Anthony and Verna Gloudemans, all of Little Chute; a sister and brother-in-law Martha and Elmer Diedrick, Appleton; three step sisters Margie (Bernard) Muelemans, Wrightstown, Marion (Joseph) Wilz, Menasha, Schumacker, Aurora, Colo,; two sisters-in-law Matilda (John) VanDomelen, Little Chute, Georgiana (Ray) Baum, Appleton; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dane, his parents Henry and Hattie (Voster) Gloudemans; his step-mother, Elizabeth (Molitor-Schumacker) Gloudemans, three sisters: his twin Mary, Elizabeth, and Anne; two brothers, Joe and John; and three step-brothers, Willis, Robert, and Edmund.
The complete Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday , Sept 29, 1992, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E Fremont St, with Father William M Kuhr and Father Wilbert Staudenmaier officiating.
Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior ST. Appleton, on Monday from 4 until 8 pm and on Tuesday at the church from 9 am until the time of the Mass.
A prayer and scripture service will be held at 7 pm Monday.
A memorial fund is being established.
