    Stanley Holcomb, age 86, passed away May 30, 2011, at home with his family by his side. He was born March 19, 1925, in Appleton to the late Rei and Loretta Holcomb. Stanley served in the Army Air Force from 1943 to 1945 as an engineer on a B-24 in Bungay, England. After returning home he worked for Chet Meiers from 1947 to 1961. From 1961 through 1987 he owned his own business with Bill Scanlon known as Holcomb and Scanlon Exclusive Builders. They built their houses as if they were their own.
    Stanley believed in peace, not war. He marched many times on College Avenue rallying for peace until his speech was taken from him by a series of strokes. He was an active member of the 446 Bomb Group Association, the American Museum in Britain and the 2nd Air Division Association. He enjoyed weekly poker with his buddies and getting two perfect hands while playing cribbage with the late Cy Young. He also enjoyed the many fishing trips to Canada and Minnesota.
    Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 22 years, Marjorie; his son, David Holcomb, FL; brother, Richard (Kathy) Holcomb and sister-in-law Dolores Yingling. He is also survived by four step-daughters: Connie (Richard) Gonnering, Kathy (Al) Zimmerman, TN, Amy (Joe) DeYoung and Sally (Tom) Heenan and a step-son, Dan (Jill) Kegel; 14 step-grandchildren: Julie (Troy) Schwehr, Matthew (Sarah) Gonnering, Sarah (Ryan) Voss, Rachel Gonnering (fiancee Nick Sonnentag), Adam (Natalie) Zimmerman, TN, Corey (Heather) Zimmerman, GA, Brandon (Mallory) Zimmerman, AL, Steven Kegel, Dana, Jenna and Maria DeYoung, JT, Kylie and Mitchell Heenan; five step-great grandchildren: Hunter Schwehr, Nicholas, Calvin and Audrey Gonnering and Ellah Zimmerman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
    Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, brother Darrell and sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Bill VanDenzen.
    Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. TONIGHT, Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Inurnment will take place at the King Cemetery in King, WI with his family.In lieu of flowers, memorials are being established to the Affinity Hospice Staff and the Salvation Army.
    If anything is broken, Stan could fix it but he can't fix his wife's broken heart. We loved him in life and we will love him in death.

    Richard L. Holcomb, 84 of Appleton, died Monday July 20, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. Richard was born in Appleton, July 16, 1931, son of the late Rei and Loretta (Pauli) Holcomb. Richard married Katherine Kuba on July 9, 1955.
    Richard served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked most of his life as a carpenter. Besides building the house that he and Kathy lived in, Richard helped to build many houses in Appleton. Even after he "officially" retired, Richard was always there to lend a hand and help with any building project he could. Richard enjoyed his daily workouts at the "old man's club", when he was able. He liked to watch old movies, play sheephead, work in his flower garden; he always kept fresh flowers in the house for Kathy. When Richard did relax, he enjoyed sitting on his patio, bird watching.
    Richard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kathy; his six children, son, Gary (Lynn), Neenah; five daughters, Gail Barten, Menasha, Terri Aman, Appleton, Lisa (Timothy) Helm, Centerville, OH; Kim (Kevin) Lysne, Fremont, and Kerry Holcomb, Appleton; 14 Grandchildren, Carly, Cory (Katie), Courtney, Matt, Emily, Rachel, Allison, Erik, Tyler, Katie, Karah, Alex, Anna, and Cole; two Great-Grandchildren, Macy and Lauren, and a third due in December. Richard is further survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved dog, Mindy. He was further preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph; two brothers, Stanley, and Darrell; and his sister, Edyth.
    Funeral service for Richard will be 5:30 PM on Friday July 24, 2015 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home beginning at 3:30 PM until the hour of service. Full military honors will follow.

    Donald W. "Donny" VanDenzen, 46, formerly of Little Chute, WI rode off to the pearly gates on September 4, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Donny was born on June 15th to Sharon (Rusch) Montanye and Thomas VanDenzen.
    He is survived by his wife Neki VanDenzen and their children Amber VanDenzen, Dustin VanDenzen, Tepenga, Evangeline and Alejandria Vrame. His Mom and Dad and siblings Tammy Struck, Blaine (Marsha) Tyler, Michelle (Corey), Adam (Jamie) Montanye.
    He is further survived by his godfather Rocky Langman, godmother Lynn Rusch Nelson, godson Landen (nephew) and nieces, friends and family members. Donny's family meant the most to him and he would be proud to announce that his legacy will live on through his two grandchildren that are on the way.
    He is preceded in death by his dad Chris Montanye, grandparents Evelyn Rusch, and Edith and William VanDenzen. Along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
    There will be a celebration of Donny's life held at Rusch's Bowl in Kimberly, WI on September 18, 2016 starting at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers the family is establishing a memorial to help with expenses incurred during Donny's illness.

    Donny's family would like to extend a special thank you to his best friend Brad Chandler and his wife Rebecca along with The Northern Illinois Hospice and of course man's best friend and Donny's his faithful dog Tessa Ann.
