    Verhoven, Benedict "Dick"
    Benedict "Dick" Verhoven, 77, of rural De Pere, passed away at home June 14, 2006 after a short battle with cancer. He was born March 2, 1929, son of the late Gertrude and Martin Verhoven. He married Edna Bartels on July 2, 1952 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. Until they retired, he and his wife farmed in the Town of Wrightstown. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and traveling. Dick was a member of Catholic Knights for 60 years. He was a religious, loving and hardworking man.
    Ben is survived by his wife, Edna, and all eight children: Judy (Wayne) Bodde, Kaukauna; Kenneth (Joanne) Verhoven, Three Lakes; Ronald Verhoven and his special friend, Brenda, Arkansas; Susan Verhoven and her special friend, Jose Sepulveda, West Bend; Carol (Lee) Inman, Bonduel; Nancy (Jack) Kalies, Sugar Camp; Debra (Dennis) Hermes, Sherwood and Martin (Sue) Verhoven, Minnesota; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his sister, Jeannie Lindner, Arizona; brother, Sylvester (Bernice) Verhoven, De Pere; brother-in-law, Jim (Rita) Brochtrup, Brillion; Joe (Rosie) Bartels, De Pere and Harvey (Judy) Bartels, Green Bay; and sister-in-law, Linda Krause, De Pere.
    He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gertrude and Martin Verhoven; four sisters; a brother; and a sister-in-law.
    Family and friends may call Monday, June 19, 2006, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St., Wrightstown, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at church, with Msgr. John Schuh officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

    Ronald A. Verhoven, also known as ZZ, 55, Rogers, Ark., passed away July 29, 2013, in Bentonville. He was born Feb. 16, 1958, in Green Bay, Wis., the son of Benedict Henry and Edna Agnes Bartels Verhoven. ZZ formerly worked for Arkansas Steel Erectors. He attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and volunteered at the church's food pantry. Ronald enjoyed BBQ cooking, working on cars and lawnmowers, cutting wood and doing any kind of handiwork that needed to be done. He is preceded in death by his father.
    He is survived by his companion of many years, Brenda Justis of the home; his children, Tori and Hunter Verhoven and their mother, Sylvia all of Columbia, Mo.; his mother, Edna Verhoven and her companion, Virgil Thiel, De Pere, Wis.; his brothers and sisters, Judy Bodde and husband, Wayne Kaukauna, Wis.; Kenneth Verhoven and wife, Joanne, Three Lakes Wis.; Susan Verhoven, Campbellsport, Wis.; Carol Inman and husband, Lee, Bonduel, Wis.; Nancy Kalies and husband, Jack, Rhinelander, Wis.; Debra Hermas and husband, Dennis, Seymour, Wis.; and Martin Verhoven and wife, Sue, Rockford, Minn.; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
