    Utschig. Pearl Ann (Boldt) (Mrs. Theodore Utschig)Pearl Ann Utschig, age 96, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, Apr il 3, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Woodstock, IL. Pearl was born M ay 22, 1908 in Appleton, the youngest of six children born to the late Jo hn and Sophia (Schumacher) Boldt. She was a lifetime resident of Applet on and has been a registered voter since March 26, 1932. On July 5, 2000 M ayor Timothy Hannah awarded Pearl an Honorary Citizen of Appleton Proclama tion for her dedicated voting record. Pearl was united in marriage to Theo dore A. Utschig of Appleton on October 24, 1925, sharing 46 years togeth er before his death on October 27, 1971. Ted and Pearl owned and operat ed the Theo. Utschig & Son Inc., construction company in Appleton for 43 y ears. She took an active part in the business and also served on the boa rd of directors. Pearl also served on the First Federal Savings of Wiscons in Advisory Board.She took an active part in the Appleton community and belonged to a numb er of organizations including: a former member and officer of the Knigh ts of Pythian Sisters and the Elks Ladies #337, a member of Ridgeway Count ry Club, Butte Des Morts Country Club, and the Appleton Memorial Hospit al Auxiliary where she volunteered as a Pink Lady for many years.Pearl was an active member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, whe re she was baptized, married, and will now have the final celebration of h er life. Pearl loved her home, family, and friends. Her faith in God was s trong, she believed in prayer for strength, and her temperament was like s teel. She loved reading and learning, and she especially enjoyed telling s tories to her grandchildren (she loved scratching backs). She will be deeply missed by her two children, Donald E. (Janet) Utsch ig of Appleton and Sandra L. (Robert) Bradshaw of Woodstock, IL; her belov ed seven grandchildren: Jamela (Utschig) Hunt, Donna Utschig, Theodore Jo hn Utschig II (Kimberly), Linda (Utschig) Robertson (Brett), Deborah (Utsc hig) Gorman, Gregory Bradshaw (Kristine) and Kristin (Bradshaw) Huber (Lan ce); Pearl had 14 great grandchildren whom she adored: Autumn (Utschig) St eif (Richard), Theodore John Utschig III, Dustin Utschig, Lindsey and J on Hunt, Andrea and Allen Gorman, Bryan, Justin, Michael, Christopher, a nd Kaitlyn Bradshaw, Kyle and Jason Huber. Pearl is further survived by nu merous nieces, nephews, many dear friends, and her special friend Louis Ka sten of Appleton. In addition to her parents and husband, Pearl was preceded in death by thr ee brothers: Edward, Daniel, and Rudolph and two sisters, Florence and Ida . Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8th at the Emmanu el United Methodist Church, 740 E. College Ave. Appleton, with Rev. Lynn K ollath officiating. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Leder er Funeral Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and then directly at the church f rom 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of the service. Entombment will take p lace at Highland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel United M ethodist Church, the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois at 410 S. Hager Av e.     Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army, in the 101st Airborne Division -Glider Infantry and was part of the June 6th Invasion of Normandy. Earl was wounded after six days of combat. He lay on the battlefield overnight among the dead comrades and was found the next morning. He spent 18 months in VA hospitals recovering from wounds. He earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his valor.

    Doris Boldt Thomas, age 91, died peacefully with her six children at her side on July 12, 2014 in Muskegon, MI. She now resides in glory with her heavenly father. Doris was born on February 13, 1923 to the late Daniel and Erna (Kuhnel) Boldt. She was born and raised in Appleton where she lived for 80 years. Doris was the wife of Lawrence (Tom) Thomas to whom she was married for 42 years. She worked for Younkers for 40 years. After Doris retired at the age of 80, she moved to Muskegon, MI to live closer to her daughters. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rockford, MI.
    Doris was survived by her six children: Barb Dahlke, Randy (Pauline) Thomas, Thomas Thomas, Scott (Linda) Thomas, Robert Thomas, and Robin Thomas; her adopted son: Daniel Pagel; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother: Dick (Sandy) Boldt and sister: Laverne (Jim) Tetzlaff. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers: Rodger and Daniel (Corrine) Boldt; sisters: Janie (Bill) Podoll, Carol (Gene) Smith, and Geraldine (Chuck) Wilson; and son-in-law Mark Dahlke.

    Carol B. Smith, age 75, of Menasha passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Prairie Homes with her family at her side. She was born on January 19, 1938 in Appleton, daughter of the late Daniel and Erna (Keuhnl) Boldt. She was a graduate of Appleton West High Schoool. On April 12, 1958 she married Eugene R. Smith at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. The marriage was blessed with 55 years, four daughters, and one son. Carol was very talented musically, she played the piano, harmonized, and her voice could make a person cry. She was a very good cook and baker, and loved to share her amazing carrot cake with family and friends. Above all else, Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren near and far.

    Richard Boldt, age 63, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. He was born on September 13, 1952, in Appleton, to the late Elmer and Ada (Vander Zanden) Boldt. Richard graduated from Appleton East High School in 1971. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1973 to 1974, stationed in Korea. He married Dennie Un Cha on May 24, 1974, in Korea. Richard was employed at Presto Products for over 43 years, retiring in 2014. He was well-known as an extremely skilled handyman and Packer fan. More importantly, he was a loving, kind, and gracious husband, father and grandfather. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.
    Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Dennie; his son, Daniel, of Appleton and his daughter, Carey (Jason) Rice, Menasha; his grandchildren, Tyler Boldt, Samuel and Kaitlin Schulz, and Avery Rice; his siblings, Barbara (Ronald) Broehm, Oconto Falls; Norbert (Donna) Boldt, Appleton; Thomas (Mary) Boldt, Appleton; Larry Boldt, Appleton; Randy (Cindy) Boldt, Menasha; and Alan (Cheri) Boldt, Appleton; his nephew, Yong Un (Jessica) Chi; and his great niece Erin Chi and nephew Ethan Chi.     Michael E. Boldt, age 68, of Appleton, died peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 13, 2013, after bravely fighting lung cancer. Michael was born in Appleton on June 5, 1945, to the late Melvin and Mayme (Kofler) Boldt. After graduating from Appleton West High School, Michael proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at James River/Graphic Packaging for many years, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and playing softball with his brothers, carpentry, gardening, grilling out, Brewers games and cheering on the Vikings. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his girls and his grandchildren.
    He is survived by his three daughters: Vikki (Andrew) Jorgensen, Appleton, Jill (Matthew Weber) VanEperen, Menasha, and Da'Neil (Matthew) Spencer, Appleton; 8 grandchildren: Kellan, Halle, Merrick, and Tennyson Jorgensen, Arielle and Adrienne VanEperen, and Stellar and Dahlia Spencer; 2 brothers: Dennis (Christine) Boldt, Appleton and Steven (Karen) Boldt, Kimberly; sister Janice (Ted) Fox, Bowler, WI.     Sanders, Raymond M., AppletonRay, age 62, died Thursday January 29, 2004 in Appleton after a courageo us battle with cancer. Ray was born December 9, 1941 in Appleton to the la te Edward and Eleanora (Boldt) Sanders Sr. and has been an Appleton reside nt all of his life. Ray graduated at Appleton West High School with the cl ass of 1960. Ray then proudly served his country with the United States A ir Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member and past offic er of the Appleton American Legion Post #38. Ray was employed and a form er owner of Trio Refrigeration in Neenah, working there for close to 40 ye ars until his health forced his retirement. He loved the outdoors, especia lly hunting with his good friends up north. Ray will be sadly missed by h is daughter Brenda Kindred, Sussex, WI; two sons: Dale (Jennifer) Sander s, Appleton; Dean (Kelly) Cotter-Leischow, Minatonka, MN; five grandchildr en; a brother Edward Sanders Jr., Appleton; two sisters: Mary (David) Koep sel, Appleton; and Karen (Hank) Grishaber, Appleton. Ray is further surviv ed by many nieces and nephews, his best friend Mark Scribner, Appleton; a nd his good friend and former wife Karen Cotter. Ray was preceded in dea th by his parents and a brother Jimmy Sanders. A Funeral Liturgy will be h eld at 7 p.m. Monday February 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. F remont St., Appleton, with the Rev. Robert Karuhn officiating. Friends m ay call directly at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Milit ary Honors will follow.     Tadd L. Evers, age 40, of New London, passed away as the result of an ATV accident near Calumet City, Michigan. Tadd was born on September 15, 1967, in Neenah, son of LeRoy and Nancy (Gore) Evers. He worked as a chef at various restaurants in the area.
    He is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Nancy, New London; a daughter, Leah Evers, New London; and ex-wife and best friend, Lisa Evers, New London. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
    He is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa, and a brother, Todd.
    A Memorial Service for Tadd will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
