    Obituary:
    DIED AT APPLETON. W. A. Kelso passed away at his home at 659 North street, Appleton, at 11:30 o'clock Sunday evening. Mr. Kelso was born in the town of Kaukauna June 7. 1858. In 1884 he was married to Miss Ida Donohue at Menasha. He retired from farming in 1900 and served as rural mall carrier out of Kaukauna until Dec. 1911, when he suffered a paralytic stroke. He partially recovered from this, but was rendered almost completely helpless and for the past five years had been confined to his bed as a result of a In 1919, Mr. and Mrs. Kelso left their home in Kaukauna and moved to Appleton. From his early manhood to the time of his illness. Mr. Kelso served the community as superintendent of Oak Grove Sunday school. Surviving are the widow and one daughter, Mra. G. V. Payzant of Appleton.

    Robert Richard McGilligan, age 66 of Springfield, OR died on January 2, 2012 following a massive stroke. He was born in Appleton, WI son of Thomas and Ida (Payzant) McGilligan on December 20, 1945. He was a pipefitter worker and all around handyman. He served in the U.S. Marines.
    Survivors include his daughter, Idasotera Ciganek, CA City, CA; siblings: Pat McGilligan; Neenah, WI; John McGilligan, Southfield, MI; and Tom McGilligan, SanClemente, CA and two grandchildren.
    Memorial services will be 1 p.m. January 6, 2012 at the Poole-Larsen Funeral Home, 1100 Charnelton Street, Eugene OR. The Poole-Larsen Funeral Home, 541-484-1435 is assisting the family.
