    Sister Dorine Ellenbecker FSPA
    Sister Dorine Ellenbecker, Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration, 89, died June 13, 2005, at Villa St. Joseph in La Crosse.
    Sister Dorine was born to William and Clara (Losselyong) Ellenbecker on Jan. 30, 1916, in Edgar. She entered St. Rose Convent on Aug. 19, 1929, and made profession of vows in 1934. She ministered as an elementary teacher. She served in schools in Iowa and Wisconsin for 51 years, including 14 years at Stanley and eight years in Colby. After leaving the classroom, Sister Dorine ministered as a tutor and parish volunteer for 10 years before retiring to St. Rose Convent in 1995. She made the Villa her home in 2004.
    Sister Dorine is survived by her Franciscan community; three sisters, Lucille Shank and Rita Meyer, Wausau, and Verna (Mike) Mroczenski, Edgar; two sisters-in-law, Marie Ellenbecker, Appleton, and Marcie Ellenbecker, Wausau; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Elmer, Jerome, Lawrence and Urban; and one sister, Sister Dorinda Ellenbecker FSPA (1998).
    The Rev. Thomas O'Neill, Viterbo University Chaplain, will preside at the Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 16, in Mary of the Angels Chapel in La Crosse. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in La Crosse. Friends may call after 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, when the body will be met at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Mary of the Angels Chapel in La Crosse.
    Memorials may be sent to Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, 912 Market St., La Crosse WI 54601-8800.
    Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home in La Crosse is assisting with arrangements.

    Lucille S. Shank
    87, Wausau, died Monday, January 19, 2009 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.
    She was born September 7, 1921 in Edgar, daughter of the late William and Clara (Losselyong) Ellenbecker. On October 5, 1957 she married Jack Shank in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in January 1979.
    After graduating high school, Lucille moved to Milwaukee where she worked at St. Michael Hospital as the director of Laundry for 21 years. In 1992, she moved to Wausau and had resided here since. She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid fan of the Packers and Brewers.
    Survivors include two sisters, Rita Meyer, Wausau and Verna (Mike) Mroczenski, Edgar; sister-in-law, Marcie Ellenbecker, Wausau and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    Besides her parents and husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Dorine Ellenbecker and Sister Dorinda Ellenbecker, and three brothers, Jerry, Elmer and Urban Ellenbecker.
    The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Gerald Pehler O.F.M. Cap. will preside. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

    Services will be held Monday at 8 p.m. at St. Matthew's Catholid Church, Wausau. The Rev. Robert Hundt will officiate and burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.     Mr. Ellenbecker was born Sept. 17, 1930, in the town of Cassel, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ellenbecker. He was married Aug. 25, 1954, in Marathon to Marcella Michlig, who survives. He was a partner in the Wausau firm of Steinagal-Ellenbecker, cement contractors.

    Jerry Ellenbecker, 75, Neenah, died peacefully at his home Sunday, March 23, 2014, with his loving family at his side, after a short yet courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Jerry was born October 21, 1938, in Marathon, son of Jerome P. and Marie (Karlen) Ellenbecker. He graduated from Appleton High School, and then served in the Army reserves. He also coached little league baseball in Appleton. Jerry was employed by American Can Corporation until his retirement. He loved gardening, traveling, playing cards and fishing. He especially enjoyed his breakfast clubs on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
    Jerry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Ruby; sons: William and Robert (friend Judy), both of Neenah, and Tony, Appleton; a special grandson, Joel Ellenbecker (special friend Tamrah), Neenah; a special sister-in-law, Virginia Neal; a special friend, Denise Ellenbecker; siblings: Gail Jobelius, Madison; Jean (Cyril) Wolff, SC; Karen (Richard) Olsen, Plover; Pat Ellenbecker, CO; Kim Skjoldager, Appleton; Lyle (Mary) Ellenbecker, Kaukauna; Lee (Bunny) Ellenbecker, Appleton; special friend, Carl Fiestedt; other relatives and friends.
    Jerome was preceded in death by his parents.
    Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, with Rev. Michael L. Ingold officiating.     Bill H. Ellenbecker, 52, Neenah, passed away unexpectedly at Theda Clark Medical Center on June 16, 2014, with his loving family at his side. He was born February 20, 1962, in Neenah, son of Jerome and Ruby (Pluger) Ellenbecker. Bill attended Neenah High School, and then served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Guadalcanal. He played little league in Appleton and also legion baseball in Neenah. Bill was a chef at various places in the valley, and he also owned The Peak Bar in Neenah.
    Bill is survived by his mother, Ruby; brothers: Robert (special friend Judy), Neenah, and Tony, Appleton; his children: Joel (special friend Tamrah) Ellenbecker, James T. Maitland and Shannon A. Anderson; grandmother, Rose Goodwin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends.
    Bill was preceded in death by his father, Jerry, on March 23, 2014.
    Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Bill's name.
