    Violet M. Cousineau, age 92 of Hortonville, died on Thursday morning, January 15, 2015.
    Vi was born on June 4, 1922, in Antigo, Wisconsin, daughter of Ben and Mary (Schroepfer) Joyce. She graduated from Antigo High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the Central State Technical College (now University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point). On December 22, 1943, Vi married Francis Cousineau. They lived in Texas and Tennessee while he served in the Army Air Corps. After World War II they lived in Stevens Point and Milwaukee while Francis completed his pre-dental studies and his dental degree at Marquette University. They made their home in Hortonville where Francis began his practice and they raised their six children.
    Violet served as librarian for the Hortonville Public Library from 1965 until 1976. Later, after earning her Nursing Assistant Certificate from Fox Valley Technical College, she was employed at the New London Hospital, retiring in 1983.
    Violet is survived by her daughter, Lilah (Ed) Kowieski; two sons, Dr. F. Patrick (Margie) Cousineau and Alan (Cindi) Cousineau; son in-law, Dr. Michael Illovsky; daughter in-law, Kathy Cousineau; 14 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sister in-laws, Jean Joyce Liane (Dick) Seis, and Jean Cousineau; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    In addition to her parents, Vi was preceded in death by her husband, Francis who died in 1988; two daughters, Joyce Mary and Ann Marie; son, Gregory; sister, Mae Hayes; and three brothers, Bernard, Orin, and Eugene Joyce.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hortonville, with Msgr. James Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
    The following lines are from a poem written by Vi after her husbands death.
    "It is a comfort to know that the soul doesn't die when the body wears out and departs.
    The person that was, continues to be ever alive in our hearts..."
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established to benefit the Hortonville Public Library.

    Gregory M. Cousineau, 59, of Kaukauna, WI, died Thursday, March 13, 2014. Greg passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
    Greg was born March 15, 1954 in New London, WI to Dr. F.W. and Violet Cousineau. He was a graduate of Hortonville High School, class of 1972, and continued his education to receive an Associate's Degree in Dental Technology from Milwaukee Technical College. On June 24th 1977, Greg married the love of his life, Kathleen A. Dorn at St. Bernard Church in Appleton, WI. They were blessed with four children. He began his career with Quality Crown & Bridge Studio in Green Bay. In 1994, his own entrepreneurial vision developed. Along with his co-worker and friend, Dale Dycus, Greg made the decision to become his own boss by starting a small business, and Cousineau Dental Lab was born. He dedicated himself to building a thriving, successful business operation for more than 20 years, working until his health no longer allowed.
    Greg loved spending time landscaping around his property, hunting with his sons, and enjoyed every moment spent with family. He will be remembered for his love of conservative politics, including his adopted motto 'Don't Tread on Me'. His unwavering faith played an integral role in helping him battle cancer.
    Greg is survived by his best friend, soul mate, and wife of 36 years , Kathy, their four children, Jackie (Matt) Gerrits, Meghan (Pat) Smits, Zachary (fiancée Jessie Lannoye) Cousineau, and Maxwell (fiancée Christopher Prissel) Cousineau, as well as their five grandchildren, Owen and Bennett Theunis, Liam Gerrits, and Cale and Ellie Smits.
    He is also survived by his mother, Violet Cousineau; two brothers, Pat (Margie) Cousineau and Alan (Cindi) Cousineau; one sister, Lilah (Ed) Kowieski; and one brother-in-law, Michael Illovsky.
    Brother and Sister-In-Laws David (Ken Krajewski) Dorn, Don Dorn, Chuck (Wanda) Dorn, Becky (Mike) Lewin, Barb (Randy) Semrow, Jim (Judy) Dorn, Mary (Pat) Wagner, Bev (Mike) Mulroy, Patti (Steve) Klitzke, Shelly Miller (special friend Bobby Dyer), Colleen (Rick) Jacob, Father-In-Law Donald Dorn, and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. F.W. Cousineau; his two sisters, Joyce Cousineau and Ann Marie Illovsky, and Mother-In-Law Laverne Dorn.
    Family and friends are invited to call Monday, March 17th at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul site, Wrightstown, 437 Main Street, from 4pm to 8pm, with prayer service at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at 9am, until mass at 11am, with Father Dennis Bergsbaken officiating, assisted by Deacon Ken Kabat. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Greg's name. Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
    The family would like to express their gratitude to family and friends for their love and support, making it possible to concentrate on spending time with Greg. Special thanks to Dr. Groteluschen, Tara Lien, and all the staff at Green Bay Oncology, as well as all the nursing staff in the oncology unit at St. Vincent's Hospital, for the exceptional care and guidance throughout Greg's journey.
    The tenets of a strong, loving and faith-filled marriage were exemplified through Kathy's unwavering support, companionship and round the clock nursing care; a true testament of unconditional love.
    Throughout his fight, Greg never complained, never gave way to self-pity and never gave up hope. He was an inspiration of strength and courage to everyone around him.
    Greg, may the good Lord bless you and keep you. Godspeed.
