    Dorothy L. Tetzlaff, age 82, of Appleton passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born September 19, 1930, daughter of the late Charles and Ella (Kasten) Schroeder. On September 6, 1952 she was united in marriage to Gilbert Tetzlaff at First English Lutheran Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death February 18, 2008. Dorothy was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in the Town of Center. Dorothy loved the country! She was always an early riser. She especially enjoyed sunrises, the sunsets, gardening and canning. She enjoyed experimenting with recipes. She also enjoyed music, playing cards and watching TV game shows like Jeopardy and The Millionaire. She and her husband enjoyed dancing in her younger years.
    She is survived by her children: Beverly Tetzlaff, Appleton; Terry Tetzlaff, Green Bay and Rick Tetzlaff, Appleton; son-in-law, William Symons Sr., Appleton; grandchildren: Heather (Adam) Risley and their son Andrew, Minnesota; Michele (Darin) Hagerty and their son Austin, Greenville, Will (Michelle) Symons, Jr. and their future son Zachary David, Menasha; great-grandson Kollin Martinson. She is further survived by her brother, Carl (Therese) Schroeder; sisters-in-law: Lorraine, Dorothy and Marlene Schroeder, Arline Techlin; nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends and neighbors.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, Charlotte and daughter, Audrey Symons; brothers: Harold Schroeder; Howard (Ardelle and Janie) Schroeder; Gordon (Betty) Schroeder; Gilbert Schroeder; Carlton Schroeder, Julius Schroeder; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Lois Schroeder, Evelyn Tetzlaff and Robert Techlin.
    Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Town of Center from 12:30 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Suhr and Rev. Micah Martin officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com.
    A memorial fund is being established.
    The family wishes to thank Dr. Karl Baum from Affinity Health and Affinity Hospice, especially nurse Sheila.
