    Lester R. Springstroh, 84, passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Brewster Village. Lester was born Jan. 24, 1927, in the Town of Freedom, son of the late Otto and Minnie (Kuschel) Springstroh. He was baptized on Feb. 13, 1927, and confirmed on May 18, 1941, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in the Town of Freedom. He spent his last 10 ? years at Brewster Village. In his earlier years, he lived in a trailer and helped out on the farm.
    Survivors include six sisters, Gerda Kuba and Melda Behle, both of Appleton; Orla Schmidt, Neenah; Nora Herman, Seymour; Myrna (Ronald) Witt, Appleton; and Alice Riehl, Black Creek; two brothers, Arlin (Janet) Springstroh, Black Creek and Victor (Patricia) Springstroh, Lake Poygan; sisters-in-law, Eunice Springstroh, Black Creek and Judy Springstroh, Appleton and brother-in-law, Don Wenninger, Appleton.
    In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar, Walter and John Springstroh; brothers-in-law, Antone, David, Robert, Leslie and Vernon; four nieces and three nephews.
    A funeral service for Lester will be held on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at 6 p.m. at ST. PETER EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N2749 French Rd., Appleton with the Rev. Dustin Sievert officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Lester will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff in the Symphony Place at Brewster Village and Pastor Sievert for his visits.

    Melda L. Behle, 88 passed away at her home on Sunday, May 21, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1928 in the town of Freedom to Otto and Minna (Kuschel) Springstroh. She was baptized on September 23, 1928 and confirmed on May 18, 1941 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. On August 21, 1954, she was united in marriage to Bob Behle. Melda worked at Scolding Locks and Tuttle Press until she became a full time homemaker. She enjoyed playing sheepshead, baking cookies for her grandchildren and Sunday dinners with her family.
    Survivors include her children: Roger Behle, Lauren (Duane) Griesbach, Kevin Behle (Brenda Edmonds) James (Joan) Behle, Donna Behle, Paul (Sheila) Behle; eight grandchildren: Julie (Chris) Bobowicz, Jodie (Hans) Huebner, Lisa (David) Breger, Michelle (Colton) Eggen, Dan, Karin, Tyler & Jason Behle; great grandchildren: Kyle, Lynn, Pita & Aiden. Melda is further survived by her sisters Gerda Kuba, Orla Schmidt, Nora Herman, Myrna (Ron) Witt, Alice Riehl, and sister-in-law Judy Springstroh, brothers; Arlin (Janet) Springstroh, Vic (Pat) Springstroh, & brother-in-law Don Wenninger as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Melda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob and his parents Jacob & Viola Behle, sister Carol Wenninger, brothers Walter, Lester, Edgar & John Springstroh, brothers-in-law Antone Kuba, David Schmidt, Leslie Herman, Vernon Riehl, Lawrence Braatz, and sisters-in-law Eunice Springstroh and Nancy Braatz.
    The funeral service for Melda will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Freedom. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
    The family would like to extend our sincere thanks for the wonderful care Melda received from Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Kelly, Katie, & Bonnie. We cannot thank you enough.
