Obituary:
Dennis F. Van Dinter, 73, of Little Chute, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at his home. He was born on April 14, 1942, son of the late Peter and Jeanette (Fischer) Van Dinter. On August 7, 1965, he married his sweetheart, Sharon Wurdinger.
Dennis worked at the Kimberly Paper Mill for 42 years before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys, woodworking, bowling and having a good time. Dennis was always the life of the party. He cherished his grandchildren and loved attending all of their events.
Dennis is survived by his children: Dennis (Tricia) Van Dinter, Kris Van Dinter, Rick (Sherneatha Caswell) Van Dinter, and Jill (Roger) Jeske; grandchildren: Brad (Kayla) Wolfert, Amber Popelka, Caitlin Popelka, Kiana Van Dinter, Carson Van Dinter, Erica (Will) Roth, Amber (Colin) Cody, Marcus Jeske, and Samantha Jeske; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Sally Bolwerk; brothers and sisters-in-law: Marian (Gene) Vandenberg, Ralph (Caroline) Wurdinger, Carol Van Thull, Bud (Marie) Wurdinger, and Pat (Cathy) Wurdinger; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sharon; his parents; his father and mother-in-law, Everett and Nellie Wurdinger; a brother, Roger Van Dinter; brothers-in-law: Bill Bolwerk and Bob Van Thull.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
The Van Dinter family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Makeever and his staff for all the years of compassionate care they gave to Dennis. Also to Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion this last week.
